Introduction to Affinity Publisher: Making a Takeout Menu

Hi Nathan, thanks for sharing your project! I'm glad you enjoyed the class. You are correct, I don't think that Skillshare can display PDFs in a project, I should have mentioned that in the course! It looks like you were able to follow along well with class. Would you like any feedback on your design here? Also if you haven't already it would be great if you left a review of this course as well, that really helps skillshare know that this class has been useful for people.

Hi Ben,
This is the second class i have completed of yours and i have found them massively helpful in getting to grips with affinity 2 i am currently also doing the retro poster class and due to your efforts with the courses i have been able to design a few other things like profile pictures and cover pictures for my wife, o have also managed a book cover which was a pain haha.
Feedback is deffinately welcome although i know this would be far from fully complete as a real menu for a client as the readability is not great and i am sure a few other things also.
I will look at how to leave reviews on your courses in the morning as i am not sure how to do this but i would recommend them.

Awesome, I am so glad they have been helpful to you and you have been able to start making things! Yes readability is one of the things I was going to mention as well, checking your contrast between your background and your text will help with that, maybe consider a background image with less dynamic range so the text shows up evenly across the menu. I would also suggest looking at the proximity of your item text to your price text. Having them evenly spaced is pleasing to the eye, but might make it hard for people ordering to know which goes with which.

This is the menu that i did along with the lessons, definitely worth while if you are new to affinity i learnt alot, i was not sure how to upload the PDF file so i exported it as a PNG to share.
