For practice 1 I did cats with ink. 

 Practice 2  Joy and Practice 4 Seasons. All of these paintings were done as I played with new art supplies. 

Rather than focus on a subject, I chose to play with 2 new watercolors I just bought, Van Dyke Brown and New Gamboge (both Daniel Smith). 
There are several things I like to paint, among them flowers, birds, fish and the cartoon character I created several years ago, Hank the Hare. I usually ink Hank but the Van Dyke Brown was a good shade for him so I drew him, too.

And the flowers are with Hank and the bird.  Very abstract forsythia that was hard to crop separately.
