Zenbangles

I did a stint (an obsession, actually, I'm pretty much all about obsession) recently on Zentangles so I was happy to see a way to integrate it into a project. I also bought a bunch of watercolor projects (which I have yet to start) that used liquid watercolors, so I had the paint (or ink or whatever that stuff is). I also have a bunch of cheap watercolor paper that I'm trying to get rid of which worked perfectly for this project. Win-win-win!Zenbangles - image 1 - student project

I liked the idea of not making perfect circles. It sort of adds an organic effect to the painting (or did you already say that, if so, then forget I said it).

I still find myself very tense when I put water on the paper worrying it will dry out too soon, which it tried to do a couple of times. It's very hot here and I refuse to turn on my air conditioning because I'm trying to toughen myself up for the hard times coming. Heck, when I was a kid there was NO air conditioning and we (kids) never seemed to mind it. Can't say the same for my parents, though. I even remember when we got our first air conditioner. But I digress...

Anyhow, I'm in the middle of a major project that's stressing me out, so it figured I should RELax and do another project. Great fun!
