Hello, and thank you so much for sharing your project. I just found your submission, and it is really very well done. I especially like the colors, the gold highlights, and the beautiful, solemn expression of Mary. There is a quiet feeling in the icon that works very nicely.The main thing I would suggest if you continue working on it is to develop the face a little more with lighter transparent layers. In traditional icon painting, the face carries the inner light, so usually we gradually build highlights using thin layers of white and then warm apricot tones (yellow + a bit of red ochre), with a little soft blush on the cheeks. This helps the face come forward more and gives it a gentle luminous quality.Overall, this is a beautiful result, and I’m very glad you shared it.
