Vintage Painted Bouquets

Vintage Painted Bouquets - student project

I am a flower kind of girl. I can make endless motifs of beautiful bouquets, so that's what I did for this project. My initial sketches were simple, but held a variety of shapes and pieces that I knew would work together in lots of ways.

I was pretty happy with the initial color scheme I was using while creating my pattern, but as always, I found about four million other color ways that I really loved. After much deliberation, soul searching, and pieces of dark chocolate, I narrowed it down.

I'm always amazed at the difference it makes to me when I take the tiles from AI and add in all that texture in PS. Such painterly-inky-goodness!

Here are my final three painted patterns and their palettes.

I think this last vintage green one would look especially great as a wrapping paper for a summer soiree!
