Various sketches from the course Composition For Artists - Design Foundations.

This was a very interesting a concise and made me realise how easy it is to make a boring picture - haha - by not thinking about the overall design. One of the best and concise descriptions Ive seen.

After watching this I dipped into a book on my bookshelf of some impressionist still life paintings to try and deconstruct some of the artwork and try some variations. Whilst the paintings are very lovely, it was not always apparent to me if there was a dominant subject all the time.

Certainly made me think about taking better photos or considering the design of an art picture and if there might be a better arrangement before diving in.
