Hello all!

Here's a look at my mini collection of 3. As you saw in class I used inspiration picture #3 for my color palette and it gave me the idea of the over all vibe of my collection, the VSCO girl trend. If you have no idea what this is just check out Pinterest for VSCO girl trend info :)

First step after picking my inspiration photo was to roughly grab some colors from the photo to work from. Just so you know I take a screen shot of the inspiration on my iPad. Add the photo to my file in Procreate and then pick colors directly from the photo and make a little swatch on the side as reference :)

After that I roughly sketched out my ideas for my 3 pieces. I choose to do one placement illustration, one more detailed pattern and a more simple pattern.

And then here is the final collection, I'm really happy with how it turned out. Check out the end of the class when I show off the final presentation of my work and go over how I evaluate my work to always try to make it better.
