Definitely well done and very interesting. I  wondered about the dynamics and which one was the master. There is definitely a story going on here. Visually connects me to disasters like war-mongering. I ponder if the big guy is corporate pushing to make billions while the “dumpy” one is a tool who implements what’s needed for profit…. Maybe I am ready to let loose with something like this art.

Jerney, Thank-you for wanting me to learn how to loosen up creatively. First I am trying to recover myself after some difficult years of depression and "complicated grief” about which I’ll spare you since I won’t write it here. Just like there are many values for each color, there are many values of looseness. You are a dear soul to think of me and want to bring me along to see new creative vistas. I appreciate you, but I have taken giant steps trying new media and have challenged myself with a very ditsy 5x5 inch sketch book that forces me to work outside my comfort zone and do not only uglky art, but prob stupid art too. LOL!!! A hug, Judy

Oh Judy, of course I want you to experience freedom and looseness! I get it, we tend to want to get better before we stretch our wings and fly. But you know what? We never really think we're good enough so we might as well jump in with both feet haha! We learn as we go and experiment. Ugly, stupid and weird art is often in reality pretty awesome and authentic. We learn so much more by trying out random stuff than step by step tutorials and swatching. I don't mean to devalue that because it's also an important part of learning. But amazing things happen when we dare to take off the training wheels and roll down that hill! And can I tell you a little secret? Your new sketchbook sounds perfect for a big class I'm working on. ;) Ohh we're gonna play hard and experiment with lots of techniques in short sprints.  You don't have to explain anything to me about complex grief, it's awful, I got lost in it for years after my dad died in my early twenties. But you know what? All those annoying people that tell you it will get better are right. Even if we can't believe it. Not truly. After a while the good memories will come back into the foreground and we learn how to live again.  Immersing yourself in art really helps with processing and hanging in there. I wish I could give you a big hug.

You have a talent for bringing out the creatures in your works and I really wish I could develop a skill for that as well!

Thank you so much Yael! It's really all about practice and curiosity. I just really enjoy this way of creating and I do it a lot.  Also, we all have good days and bad ones, me as well! Sometimes it becomes awesome, other times not so much. But they all help me to get better over time. :)

Thank you Jennifer. :) I love distortion and the weird. Somehow it always seems to make it more emotive than when I draw more realistic.
