The Carnival and Daydreaming Hidden Stories
I submitted two drawing on 9X12 inch sketch paper.
I took Discover Hidden Stories in Your Mark Making and had such a great time exploring this process. I started by making marks with charcoal while keeping my eyes closed and listening to creativity and intuition meditations. When I opened my eyes, I found all these unexpected, incoherent little faces — and instead of trying to fix them, I just went along with it. That piece eventually became my “carnival” drawing.
For the second one, I kept my eyes open and followed a different meditation. It felt more controlled, and I ended up removing some fun shapes along the way, so now it looks like two scenes living inside one drawing. That piece became my "daydreaming" drawing.
