These experiments are so lovely! I'd love to know what you learned about your style in your reflections!

My favorite style was painting with watercolors, especially the wet-on-wet technique, and then outlining with thick paint.  
For the beetle, I enjoyed using the charcoal pencil.  
I didn't enjoy using the oil pastels for the ladybug, but I loved it for the fly experiment with negative space.  I also loved using gouache for the fly and was surprised how much I would have fun painting a fly. 
For texture on the bee, I had fun using table salt on wet paint and removing it when it dried.  I feel it gave a nice effect of pollen falling on it.  
I enjoyed this class and it solidified that I love using watercolors especially the wet on wet and then outlining with thicker paint when it dries.
