Snackman Trilogy

First, I’d like to mention I’m planning a video/movie trilogy based off of the character; I’m not sure if that really affects much of character development and all.

At first, I want Snackman to be a very active character, with a mid-range competency and low likability.

In the beginning he doesn’t care much about his grandma who he’s living with. He doesn’t appreciate his life situation. He has a boring day job, and does his best to fight street crime with his relatively good hand-to-hand combat skills. He acts on instinct without thinking. Assuming situations with not enough evidence. Being ungrateful for his grandma, he doesn’t have much empathy for the family’s of the criminals, and doesn’t have much of a moral code.

I had the idea of having Snackman and the villain kinda at the opposite traditional sides; with Snackman being a type of villain in the beginning and the villain seem to be on the good side, but he’s building up a false sense of trust. Snackman has to overcome and kind of prove himself to be trustworthy. The end is somewhat predictable, with them switching sides eventually, but I want the trilogy to have the same villain throughout with different conflicts in each.

I also had the idea with like a salt (because salt is a huge part of snacks) sentient granting him powers, making his competency go higher, creating an arc for the villain to overcome to defeat the hero.

Another note; I was thinking to make this series considerably comedic and kinda silly. Is the plot too serious for a comedy? I’m still developing the other two movies.

Villain: Mustache(I have a 17 inch long mustache prop, and the name kind of goes with the goofy/comedy idea) I want him to be quite likable, but also very competent, enough to outsmart Snackman and to take advantages of his weaknesses, but with seemingly low activity.

Especially in the first of the three, Mustache doesn’t appear very often; I want to make him more talk than actually appearing, somewhat like Moriarty in the Sherlock films, to be behind the scenes the first and more in the spotlight in the following one(s). He makes Snackman look bad in the public eye by setting up situations that take advantage of Snackman’s weaknesses, mostly being acting on things instantly, assuming situations.

I want the audience to feel a love/hate for Mustache. On the one hand, He is a typically funny and unserious guy in many situations, but the audience knows he’s the bad guy. As previously stated, I’m working on the timing and motivations and a lot still, but I have a general idea on how it will go.
