Routine Collapse

I have made two moves across the country in less than two years. This has completely changed how I've lived in more ways than one. Routines have been shifted, neglected and rebuilt again. In my most recent rendition of a nighttime routine I spend the typical time making sure to do all of the personal and selfcare things that are needed to make my life better but the biggest pitfall I have is stepping away from my partner when it's time to start getting ready for bed. He works overnight and when he is home, I am so happy to be able to spend time with him. The only way I have found to work around this issue is by giving myself an absolute cutoff time. If I am tired, I can usually make the decision to be a good adult. Otherwise, I have implemented a cutoff, the latest time I can stay up with him. This ensures I get the required amount of sleep I need and still get some extra time with him.
