<p>Hi Marissa. Apologies for the slow response. I wouldn't call this a failed attempt, that's being too hard on yourself! I think the idea is fine. Where I would focus effort would be on the animation itself. Specifically I would aim to have the different movements overlapping each other in some way so that the whole thing feels like one connected movement. At the moment you animate one part, stop, animate the next part, stop etc. Increasing the ease in on all the moves could help. And if you parent things together then they can more as part of a whole as well as having their own movement. Does that make sense? not sure I've explained that very well. <p>This is of course, my first time animating in After Effects and I was stoked that I can import graphics from illustrator. I am doing a quick animation for a client. The idea didn't translate well and it looks like a PowerPoint slide graphic. Probably I need a stronger storyboard process?</p>
