Ok, I went a bit outside of the scope of what we're supposed to do for our "homework" for this class. I'm also a few years too late on taking this class, lol. (2021, represent!)

 

I basically ran through the meat of the class (basic tweens with opacity, position, rotation, null box, dependencies, pick whips, text, masks, expressions) and played with the practical lessons on how to make an animation. This is what I came up with. I've done work in Illustrator and imported it before, but never was I brave enough to try to make everything 100% in AE without any plug-ins or add-ons either until now.

It's basic, but I like it. I looped it as an animated GIF just to prove to myself I could. :) Didn't post it on Instagram because it's not so much to look at, but it's inspired me to keep on going to see what else I can learn in AE.
