My 28Day Project: finishing my fiction novel (or trying)

The idea is to commit to writing at least 15 minutes every day: that is the goal per se, not really "finishing" but rather "going as far as writing every day will get me". I am one week late in creating the project here on Skillshare, but I have printed the tracker and drew a goofy 'X' at every day I invested the 15 minutes successfully .

Week 1 checkpoint

This approach has been relatively successful so far! While I don't feel much more productive at the end of the week, I noticed one major benefit.
In 15 minutes, I manage to write about two paragraphs. Which is... not a lot. It always feels a bit strange, to be confronted with the reality of how time goes. It's like having to rehearse a presentation and thinking "ah yes, I have 15 minutes to talk about the topic, that is so much time!", but then you set your timer, you start rehearsing, and when the alarm goes off you realize you are barely 20% done. Ha! Time followed a different rule from the one in your head.
Anyhow. I delivered a very chunky chapter on Sunday. I must admit I stayed up late. Those 15 minutes were actually some two hours on that evening. Under that aspect, I behaved pretty much like I did when working in irregular spurts. But!! The thing I appreciate the most so far is: if I work on it every day, I remain tightly connected with my project. Usually, whenever I let months go by, I end up feeling so detached from my novel that I actually have to re-read most or all of it, just to go back in that space, in that story. The re-reading process eats away another week 🤡
What would I change: mah, nothing for now. I am happy with the time of day and amount of time I chose!
