<p>Awesome! I'm really digging the texture you added, it really sells the high speed motion feel. And I love the way you connected the speed trails to the different points of the word. Great work!<br /><br />Can I ask how you did your texture?</p>

Thanks Jake! The texture is a cardboard texture that I desaturated. I used levels and crushed it to just leave the specks. To get them moving I duplicated the layer over and over and lined them next to each other, parented them and moved the first. 

That's great! I always love hearing different techniques of applying texture.

For the texture on the word, I used a brush in photoshop to delete some of it away. And in AE I applied a turbulent displace to roughen it up and to get the edges to move.

<p>Hi! For my project I decided to write on the word "Motion". I know it's not a state name but I thought it would be a fun word to animate. I started in Illustrator modifying an existing type face slightly, then went into Photoshop and designed the style. Then brought it into AE and animated it.</p>
