Barbara's class was very inspiring but still I found it difficult to get out and sketch.  I seem to have a mind block about sketching where someone might see me and I don't feel comfortable sketching outside.  This is something I want to work on... 

I usually sketch from photos and this time I fell back on a quick snapshot that I took as I drove to the supermarket.  It just wasn't possible to get out of the car and sketch at the roadside (let alone try and add watercolor!)

I did sketch a handful of chestnuts on my desk.

This was a disaster as I tried to stand and sketch the backyard as I stood at a window.

I was actually quite proud of myself for sketching and painting while sitting in my car near my house.  (I still couldn't bring myself to get OUT of the car where people might wonder what I was doing.  

Alas...  My fear of plein aire painting...
