This morning I treated myself to creating a project for this class, inspired  by the amazing mandalas artists created in Part 2 of this series.  It became more fun along the way and I made changes even after I started painting it.  That's something that I don't do that often.  Each stage is documented along with the pigments I used for the mixes. 

I used only secondary colors, variations of greens, violets and oranges.  Most of the secondary colors are fully saturated, meaning that I used only the two primaries closest to one another on the color wheel as explained in the Bonus Color Mixing Lesson. Two of the greens are neutralized greens.  I used a yellow and a blue that were not closest to one another on the color wheel.
