First Time Hand Lettering | 7-Day Challenge
As a complete beginner, Sarah's course is my first ever hand lettering challenge. I bought my first brush pens about a month ago and have been practising letters ever since. I really enjoyed the course, as I was able to letter whole words for the first time. I also learned a lot about technique and gained a lot of inspiration.
Let's go! - Day 1 with bold colours. I use Tombow ATB Dual Brush Pens because I got them cheap second-hand. However, I feel that they are not that easy to use for beginners like me.
Day 2 - Since I don't have a gold gel pen, I use a white one.

Day 3 - I switched to a pastel colour palette because I liked it better. It was my first time doing faux calligraphy and I really enjoyed the creative process.

Day 4 - This is my favourite from the challenge! I loved drawing the lines. Even though they didn't turn out perfectly, it was such a great exercise and very therapeutic. I used my new Pentel Sign Brush Pen for the lettering. I've fallen in love with this pen. In my opinion, it makes lettering so much easier for beginners!

Day 5 - That reflected my mood very well. Inspired by the song One of the Greats by Florence + The Machine.

Day 6 - Here, I tested an Ecoline Brush Pen for the word ‘enough’ to make it stand out even more. I have avoided using this pen until now because I find it difficult to handle. Since I don't have a gold pen, I got creative again for the embossing.

Bonus Day - While I did a lot of preliminary work with pencil on all the other days, I started straight away with the Tombow ATB Brush Pen here. I am very happy with the result. It was cool to try out the different styles.

Thank you very much for the fun and creative challenge, dear Sarah! :)
