First i watched the lessons then i picked three photos i took and did quick sketches one with just willow charcoal then just charcoal pencil then the third is a mix of both.

I like how all three quick sketches came out especially the tree in the third one. For the landscape one i picked another photo of mine i took on holiday and spent time to get the drawing to how i wanted it to look.

for the landscape i mainly used willow charcoal and used the charcoal pencil where it was appropriate for the drawing. I feel like i capturesd the trees and bushes well though i could have done the lake a bit better. Thanks for the class i learnt alot. I am thinking i may use charcoal as a under painting layer for when i use oil pastel light pressure mostly and a bit more where shade will be in the painting.
