In this project, I used a combination of Derwent XL Garaphite and XL Charcoal and some soft pastels to get the colour range I was looking for.

 

 

This is the larger piece I created, but I overworked the mark making. I cut this up into the smaller micro pieces shown below. I will cut the rest up and use it in other projects.
