This series originated from pure experimentation. I was preparing to teach at the university pretty much the same class, and I was looking for some source images for demonstration when I came across this deer and all these cool geometric things. I love animals, space, geometry, psychology and M. C. Escher, so I decided to put them together, and after a little bit of conceptual development the theme and the whole series came about.

I am fascinated and excited how using together animal illustrations and geometric shapes can create a very strong visual juxtaposition of organic versus geometric forms on one hand, and just show the magic of nature and creatures on the other. Animal archetypes is a powerful concept which is easy to relate to for most of us: one way or the other we identify ourselves with the specific animals, and this project is a different way of looking at our own nature.
