Thanks a lot for sharing your interesting collages, Cat! Great to see a clear approach and goal with your two collages combining instruments with the natural illustrations and geometric shape, and I love your third more playful collage — such a clever combination or elements and how they interact with each other to create a scene, and fish are such a fun touch! Is there a reason why the whole composition is a little slanted so that the fish don't hang vertically? It's interesting what you are doing conceptually with the combination of the elements and the composition in the other two collages. Have you explored any other colouring options to shift the focus and emphasise specific elements? How do you feel about the red circle and lines dominating the composition in the first collage? What do you want to be the focal point in this composition (I feel that with the diagonal composition and a clear direction created with the shape of the microscope and the snake placement, the composition should focus and culminate in the bottom right corner)? I'd love to see how you could further develop these two collage through the use of colour to guide the viewer's eye through the composition. Hi everyone, I loved this class. The steps were really well explained and the examples that were used were really inspriring. I wanted to create a series that combined scientific instruments and science knowledge with nature. Thanks for a great course!
