The illustration was inspired by a stock photo. I tried to use all the new techniques I learned from the course. For example, I made the navy blue and lilac background using the wet blending technique and am madly in love with it! Using burnisher and blender tools along the way was also a great experience. I'll stick to using them in the future. For the work I used, as usual, crayons from Derwent (Coloursoft and Chromaflow series) on the black paper - I tested several brands and series in the past, including Prismacolor Premier recommended as part of this course. Still, the Derwent series works best for me. A matter of taste, I guess. 

The whole course was a great experience. It allowed me to organize my existing knowledge (mostly gained through experience and self-study) and learn some new techniques and useful tricks.  Great job as a tutor! :)
