Constraints:

1. Time limit: 3 months

2. Only one developer

3. Budget: $100

Potential goals and problem statements:

  • Get players out into nature.
  • Create sense of community.
  • Illustrate right vs. wrong.

My mechanics need to reward players who explore, so players should be able to interact consistently in their environments.

For adjustable difficulty, I should have some scavenger hunt items on the path and others that are harder to find.

I’ll have easier and harder items to discover. Maybe I’ll also have one secret items players are guaranteed to find, so I can teach about the existence of the secret items!

Maybe my target audience feels cooped up indoors, so my player character gets together with friends and goes to the park.
