My Killer Morning Routine

  • Know Your Why:
    • I don’t feel like there is enough time in a day to do all of the self care like Yoga, meditating, and working out while still having time for family and friends.  I want to do the things I know will benefit me and make me happy while still being there for others and taking care of my responsibilities.  
    • I want to be my best self and live up to my potential for being a happy, healthy, and positive person.  I want to be a great example for Olivia (my daughter) as to what being an adult can be.  I want to be able to be happy with who I see in the mirror and with who I am.

 

  • My Morning Routine Is:
    • Wake Up & Wash Up                04:30    am    10 min
    • Take dog out & feed him            04:40    am    10 min   
    • Make coffee & Meditate            04:50    am    30 min   
    • Yoga                       05:20    am    30 min
    • Get dressed for work                05:50    am    10 min
    • Out the door :)                    06:00    am

 

  • Note:
    • This is the ideal situation/morning routine I would like to adopt, I struggle with having a job that starts so early (06:30 am) and that ends anywhere from 3:30 to 6:00 pm.  I also want to walk after work but I tend to get distracted and don’t want to add it to my morning since I like to get anywhere from 3-6 miles in when I do walk (otherwise I feel like it's pointless for my fitness goals) so more often than not I skip my walk on late days.  Any suggestions are welcome.
