I think this is very pretty! I like how your vibrant, distinct flowers stand out against the more muted, soft background!

Hi Carmen, well done and thank you for completing another of my classes. Your flower petals are lovely - I like the way you've varied the pink tones on the petals; also the tones on the seed heads which has created great texture on them.  I do think it needs more pigment on the background - this would also help to make the shapes of the stems and leaves to stand out. If you gently wet each of the background shapes with clean water, you can drop in some more colour. I would just use blue and yellow to avoid it getting muddy.  But still keep it lighter around the flowers so they continue to stand out. As you have already  photographed it you can compare the before and after results.  Hope that helps. best wishes, Carrie

Thanks for detailed feedback. I had thought of trying another layer. I used a manganese blue from DS. Might have been too light to use. Will see if I get brave!

Still looks pretty Carmen it’s like pollen floating in the air!  Maybe the paint was a little too thick and didn’t match the water consistency on the paper so it wouldn’t run?  Watercolor is so fickle! lol. lol…. :)

My background looks more like funfetti ice-cream!  I guess i dont apply enough pigment? I thought was enough water. Feedback?  But anyway I always think is a win if I do something. I did do broken outline with pen.
