I really enjoyed this project. I am new to gouache but after completing Kate's pattern class I am getting better at the consistency and choosing colours. I admit I did not do any flower drawings before this project as I was trying to move away from realism and as soon as I start drawing, I know I will start planning and then I will lose the intuitive nature of the project. Unfortunately in this scan its hard to see the patterns on the dark blue and the orange and dark pink are probably too similar tone wise.
