The Gouache Files: How to combine Gouache Painting, Pastels and Pencils in nature inspired artwork

<p>Hello! thanks for sharing your charming little artwork- its lovely.</p>In my class I try to get you to free up and experiment and I think that's what you need to carry on doing. Its difficult to get out of old habits, I know I always tend to use gouache in a really flat and graphic way so sometimes you just need to pick a bigger, different, brush that makes you use the paint in an alternative way. Perhaps try painting with a larger flat edged brush and see what sort of marks you can make. Just experiment in a sketch book at first so you don't feel obliged to turn it into a finished piece.However I love your soft colour palette and the way you've painted those cute flowers, I just think for this project you need to loosen up a wee bit and have fun!
