After the third round of a layering with the limitted palette (to clarify, I found figures prior but did not find them appealing), all kinds of faces and creatures started showing up in the paint. It was exciting but also too much, so I narrowed things down and split the piece into five cut‑outs as the teacher instructed to focus on the strongest images. Below are four pieces I connected with and also the initial painting with the cut-outs framed. I I really recommend this class. Painting was done on oilpainting paper, collage, watercolor, acrylics and ink pens. Update on April 22/2026: The fifth piece, I kept it on my easel until later so I added it below.
