28 Days: Cosmic Cat Crusader
One of my children called our black cat a "cosmic cat crusader" during bath time, and I haven't been able to get the visual out of my head of my child bopping about the galaxy with a space cat sidekick. For my first 28-day project, I'm going to draft a short children's story (that I would ultimately hope to illustrate) to surprise my children (who have likely long since forgotten about the offhanded remark).
Week 1 Recap:
- 900 words officially drafted
- Copious notes on how/where illustrations should support the story
- Rough outline of 2 additional scenes, including plot points/emotions I want to hit
- Work through the pros and cons of mechanics vs. magic
- Jotting down additional (unrelated) story ideas for later attention
- Worked with ChatGPT to create a motivational image of Nebula (the Cosmic Cat Crusader) to keep at my computer desk to keep me on task (I'll illustrate myself later, but this was a fun, short-term visualization)
