- Every few days, we’ll send you’ll an email with tips and relevant resources to help you build your channel as well as tips to help you become an even better teacher.
- Follow our New Year Channel Challenge Calendar and milestones here to stay on track.
- Make sure you're enrolled in our free class on building a Channel and Class Marketing: Skillshare Teachers: Learn to Build and Market Your Channel.
- Use the Discussions section to ask questions along the way and to share your personal tips and tricks.
- We'll be awarding special prizes throughout the Channel Challenge! Check out all the prizes we're offering this month below!
The Prizes
✔ Best in Show
This month, the Skillshare team will award one special teacher with our Best in Show prize! The lucky winner will receive our Freelancer Starter Kit curated by top teacher Jake Bartlett. The kit will include a one-year subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud ($600), and Jake's personal mic set-up ($150).
✔ Engagement Award
We believe great classes keep students engaged from start to finish. The four most engaging classes from the challenge, as measured by average student completion, will receive a featured slot on their category’s trending page. See an example here.
✔ Community Comrade Award
Community feedback and support is a huge motivator for all teachers! We’ll award one awesome community member who provides helpful feedback to their fellow teachers with the Community Comrade award - a $50 Amazon gift card.
✔ Most Improved Teacher
We believe that a teacher’s creation process and teaching style evolves over time. The Skillshare team will award one special teacher the Most Improved prize - a $250 Apple gift card! The criteria for this prize will be based on teacher presentation and overall clarity of teaching.
