I chose to make logos for Phoenix AZ... The top right is the shopping mall that I used to visit as a child and that is an image of the statue out by the street. When I was a child, the firebird statue actually had a fire under it at night. It was really something to see!   The bolo tie is the "official state neckwear" and turquoise is mined in Arizona... and the rest are just variations of the state flag and/or the flag colors... 

For this project, I did quick sketches with pencil and colored pencils. Then I made the designs in Illustrator.
