I love opportunities to include space elements in my illustration and animation work, so I personalized this project by playing with a rocket blasting off into space and heading into a wormhole. And the story worked well to still cover all the techniques of the class.


PROCESS:

To help me plan out my animation, I storyboarded a sequence that began with a blast and showed the rocket emerging and then flinging forward in space before it turned and flew into a wormhole. Through the storyboarding process, I planned for the animation to be bookend with two sparkle/explosion effects at the start and end of the animation. 

And then once I finished my animation, I added sound effects to accent the action.
