Sketching at Aqui, my local grocery store
As promised, I took my DIY sketchbook, the was the demo for this class, to my local grocery store. I began by sketching the outside of Aqui from the drivers seat in my car.
The next sketch was done in the produce department of the store.
Having used a bit too much water in my enthusiasm to play, the sketch was taking a long time to dry.
Even after clipping it to my shopping bag and taking it for a stroll around the store, the paper was still damp ... and ... I was hungry for my vegan plant balls on spaghetti squash that awaited me at home. I paid for my veggies and strolled out of the store.
Next day I returned with only my sketchbook, fountain pen and a few watercolor markers.

I found myself totally entertained by the droopy leaves of the Baby Bok Choy. The leaves had been so perky the previous day. When I stop to sketch, I notice so much more and my imagination is sparked to travel along new pathways.
