Simple Scrabbly Trees
I’ve blended three classes Bianca offered. One was the first part of "Simple Trees," and the other was the class on creating a wet-on-wet and a dry-on-dry transition background. Finally, I went back and dabbed in some flowers after watching Bianca add a hint of grass in the negative painting (trees) lesson.
Cover image is set on a wet-on-wet background with traditional palette colors like ultramarine blue and a common green I painted the background wet on wet, let it dry then painted scrabbly trees with trunks and grounding.

The above shows yet another attempt to use the Lukas prescribed limited palette primary colors — cyan, magenta and lemon yellow. Again, painted wet-on-wet background, let it dry and then added the scrabbly trees. Had a hard time mixing a good black even though 3 primary colors are supposed to make black.
I don’t think the flowers are glorious, but it was fun to use the technique I saw Bianca use to add a hint of grassy texture.
