It's okay to feel that way. Just a gentle suggestion, to seek out a journal made from recycled paper? You may have already thought of this, of course. But the pen to paper value is something so dear to me it is part of my identity and I really feel its benefits. Way to work on your beliefs! You could type, too... it is not exactly the same, but who cares? It is easily something you can delete if you need to, and it is not permanent! :) just an idea! Good luck whatever you decide. You are worth taking up space!

Hi Bianca :) Thanks for sharing your journal. It's a beautiful gift from a friend. The journal in my photo was also a gift. Despite your relationship with journaling in a diary/journal (and I'm sorry to hear trust was abused a number of times), I hope that you will be able to use whatever format/medium that works best for you in order to expose deeper feelings and emotions. What you do with the paper or notes/thoughts is up to you. Like Lucy suggested, you could even burn them!

You are so thoughtful with everything you do, Bianca. I'm sorry to hear that trust was abused. I definitely think journaling on paper is so much more effective than doing it digitally. Perhaps you could first use this beautiful journal that was gifted to you and in the future use envelopes, newspaper etc. and then bind them or burn them.

Hi Lucy, it's me once more. I just wanted to let you know that your words seem to have stirred something within me. I now believe that it's better to bind loose sheets of paper into a journal specifically made for this purpose. I find it very appealing, and I could possibly connect it with another class... :) I also have a great idea for the heart booklet that feels really good to me. I want to write down my heartfelt wishes in it, in the hopes that they will manifest soon. Thanks again and have a lovely week! &lt;3

I am using. Less frequently for several years... but I have many of them. You can be modern and save on your computer in hidden folders. And you can process thoughts creatively as anecdotes, fairy tales, morals or poems, so that only you know the real essence of what is going on.

 When it comes to digital platforms, I'm also torn. 
 
 On one hand, there's a part of me that's a bit neurotic and maybe sees things through the lens of "1984" a little too often. I already spend so much time glued to the computer, and it disconnects me from the outside world and nature, which I long for. Plus, the whole issue of staying organized... Maybe my age plays a role here too. I come from a different era, so I'm kind of vintage ;)

 On the other hand, I absolutely adore paper. The texture, the smell... There's something incomparable and deeply intense about writing with this medium.

I'm very happy if I helped. I have been writing diaries since I was 13 years old. oh my... for 30 years. The teacher at school encouraged us to do so. It opens you up to literature and poetry. That's what happened to me. Not everything has been preserved. I also sketched there a bit. I'm not that modern either. I still buy books, I prefer the version with the paper scent. Kind regards . Thanks Sbeatrycze for adding your thoughts. It sounds very helpful for Bianca to think differently about the journaling process - and it definitely expanded my mind too!

Practice #3: Journaling
Is recording rewarding? As a scanner personality, I can definitely confirm that. However, writing a diary/journal is difficult for me. On one hand, trust has been abused here multiple times. On the other hand, I have the deeply rooted belief, similar to using a sketchbook, that it is a waste of paper and an unnecessary burden on the environment. We are working on it.
P.S. On the photo above a journal that was given to me by a friend. Surprise: It is still unused...
