Pine Needles

My project is the same subject shot with different length extension tubes. I have a Canon Rebel T7i. I used a 60mm lens for all of the shots. I also used a remote shutter control that is tethered to my camera and auto focus using the live screen touch to change the focus. The lighting was overhead fluorescent so WB was set to fluorescent. All of these photos were photo stacked. I used Affinity Photo to edit.

This was shot with my 60 mm lens and no extension tubes. F5.6. There were seven shots in the focus merge.

This was taken with a 20 mm extension tube on my 60 mm lens at F5.6. There were only four shots in the focus merge because I was trying to focus only on the stem.

This was shot with a 36 mm extension tube at F2.8. There were 26 shots in the focus merge. I think that the more shots in the merge the more likely you are to have some ghosting around the image. I don't see too much of a difference between the 20 mm and the 36 mm extension tube.

This is pine needles with water droplets using the 36 mm extension tube at F2.8. There were six shots in the focus stack. I enhanced the color in the edit.
