My mini bird series inspired by this class!
I really loved working on this project and it inspired me to go on and make a mini series of 6, all using the same colours but in different combinations. Thanks for the brilliant instruction Kate!
I started by painting this purple hummingbird image and then went from there, so I knew that I wanted a different background colour for each piece and this is how it turned out!
I definitely had to mix more colours a lot, as I kept running out. I found yoghurt pots really helpful to mix in and cover when I was done.
My favourite one was this hoopoe. It's in an acid yellow/lime green and the colour is practically luminous in real life!
I was really happy with how the peonies came out in this one too.
I hope you love them and thank you so much to Kate once again for such an amazing class!
I love how they look when I popped them in a mount too.
