Blender Beginner 01: Learn the basics by making a stylish 3D Illustration

Pablo!!Congratulations on really making this project your own! Thank you so much for running with the project and going beyond what we covered in class.It's lovely to see how creative you've been; I like the bevel on the step :D That wasn't covered in the course, good on you for googling around and figuring that out.I'm guessing you have experience in other 3d and design software: the subtle transparency in the sunshade is a particularly nice touch, and bringing more specular into some of the materials.Thank you too for leaving feedback. The part where you mention wanting a more thorough introduction to the software itself was particularly useful for me, it was very good of you to take the time to write about that. I'm in the midst of developing more classes at the moment, but I think it's time to pause and reflect on your comments. I think you're right, whilst I did try to cover the absolute basics early in the course, perhaps what is needed is a shorter, slower-paced class just to get people started.Any more suggestions you have on that front would be most welcome.Once again, congrats on a fantastic project Pablo, it looks brilliant!

This class gave me the confidence to do the tutorial as explained by Matt, and also do my own version of it.
