Thank you for this very valuable class.  I learned a lot from your class, and I am very happy to have created this little illustration.

 

I have a question regarding rendering.  Above is a screenshot of my Blender file.  On the right you see my 3D Viewport on Viewport Shading (Render Display Rendered Preview), and on the left is my rendered result (when I hit F12).  I like the shadow I was getting on the right, and I got these by increasing the strength of my sun light.  But as I increased strength of the sun more and more, the rendered result remained the flat result you see on the left.  I must be missing a setting or something?  Thank you for your help.
