Love this!

Working within these four squares, with a clear objective is so much fun. I try to do it in a day, so my inner critic has to go on the back burner!

Day two is almost ready!

Just before twelve o'clock, I did my final stroke. Good on me for not fiddling forever!

Day three just didn't work. I know I should have thought more about light and dark, and simplifying. But I couldn't get it right. I'll post it just to support everybody else who has a bad day.

Day 4 made me happy again:

And for day 5, I went totally of script. Apparently I did the day 5 assignment on day 2, I already used 100% streamline. :) Never listened very well to my teachers in the past, not sure why I should start now. :)

So I started doodling with an HB pencil brush, and thought I would try the technical pen without streamlining here. But than the sketch kinda became the final drawing.

I did not use more colors then specified, but I did use a multiply layer for an extra shade gradation. So technically I did not cheat.

Day 7 took a little longer, my day job got in the way. :) But I did it. Done and done. I learned so much  and I will be definitely try more. I mixed up the brushes a little because I like it a little grittier.

Don't hesitate, just take this class. I found out I can do more than I thought.

(Oh, and Simon, so nice to hear on Instagram that you like Belgian comics. That made me happy. :) Guess where I come from.)
