Create On iPad: Infographics in Affinity Designer

Hi Sabrina, nicely done here. I'm impressed at how you were able to translate the data you found into graphics, that is often something I find new designers struggle with when making infographics. A couple points of feedback, you seem to have got the iconic representation of data pretty well down, I would have liked to also see you do one of your points as a graph, just to demonstrate that skill as well. The other thing I always test with infographics is how much I can get out of it if the text is removed, in this case I would know it was about cats, and I could probably figure out the second point about cat's purring helping with healing, but the other two points I would have a hard time making a connection to hearing or to heart attacks. If you were revising this I would suggest thinking of ways to graphically make that connection along with the text. Great job overall on this, I liked seeing you make use of the cat shape from your logo again!

Although I'm new to the graphic design classes, I have done some things empirically, so sometimes I can translate ideas into graphics.

Actually I did the graph for the third data, I just didn't include it in this graphic, maybe I will change the cats icons and put the graph there.

I thought the infographic was missing something, and with your feedback I can see what it was missing. I will try and fix it later when I can figure out how to translate the data into graphics. I did use the cat graphic, and now I have added 3 more icons to my collection, I wonder how I can keep like a library of these icons I'm making for future use?

Hi Sabrina, awesome that you made a graph too! It’s normal to different concepts of representing data but not to use all of them in the infographic, that’s the process of iteration! 
To save your icons for later you will want to use the assets panel on the right hand side. You need to create a category to store them in, and then a subcategory (or multiple) then you select the object you want to store, click the menu in the assets panel and choose to make a new asset from your selection. Then you can use them in other documents over and over!

Hi Ben, I have just saved my icons, it was quite easy, thanks! 
Also I fixed the infographic. I added the graph to the third  box and changed the icons in both the first and third box. Overall I think it has improved. Please let me know anything else I should consider. Thanks!

Hi Sabrina, I'm glad that worked for you. Great work doing another iteration on the Infographic, I like that one even better! It's amazing how returning to a project after a couple days can help us improve it.
