Thank you so much.

Really enjoyed your class.

I needed a brush-up and this was exactly what I needed.

(Still having a problem with those tenses.)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Chicago’s Black Business Network (CBBN)

Announces Its 2021 Writing Competition.

Supporting the author’s role as a business owner.

Chicago, Illinois – September 7, 2021Chicago’s Black Business Network (CBBN) is stimulating a nationwide buzz with the announcement of its newest venture. The Judged By Our Words Short Short Story Writing Competition has launched its no entry fee platform and submissions will be accepted through October 31, 2021.

According to CBBN founder, Sonja Cassandra Perdue, “Authors are business owners, who are affected by high and low economic fluctuations the same as those in other industries. They need support, marketing, and consultation just like any other small business owner. Writers and authors need to earn a decent income to support their families, as well. This competition is designed to offer them a much-needed opportunity for additional worldwide exposure.”

The final 100 short short stories selected will be included in a compilation featuring their story with a brief bio of each author included on the story page.

Author Paul Tripp said, “You have never spoken a neutral word in your life.” Could it be that words are so powerful that each word that we think, write and speak define who we are individually and as a civilization? That none are neutral? CBBN believes that this book of 100 short short stories will speak into existence powerful words from writers that the audience will not meet anywhere else along their journey of words.

There is no entry fee required to submit a 200-word story and even writers, who have never been published are welcomed to participate.

Sonja indicates that, “This is CBBN’s way of continuing to support the small business owner, who’s spirit is really the backbone of this nation. There is a $100 prize offering to the writers of the top three stories selected by our judges, but more than that, we are connecting authors with other authors. And who knows what great writing collaborations may come to life from this shared experience.”

This book will be a keepsake and provide long-term exposure for each of those sharing their style with prospective clients, the media and publishers.
