This was a great course to reground me on principles of strategic planning.  I appreciated the straight forward way the lesson was taught by Sabrina.  Often I have found there is a disconnect between the top of the house, and the people doing the work.  This can lead to feelings of unsure priorities, how does my work add value etc.  One tactic I like to use is to drill the goals and targets down to that lowest level.  Provide team members a way to see how their work, today, this week, month etc, provide value and contribute to the organizations success.  Now of course the industry variances may impact this, but I have been successful at making it work in a variety of scenarios.  I think my lesson learned and what I would do differently next time is to do it earlier, not to wait and assume that some of that effort had already been done.
