With this painting I conclude my 5 weeks portrait challenge. Infinite thanks to my teacher Jane, who, with patient attention to detail and precision, taught me a method and approach that I used to paint these very different portraits.

Hi, I've decided to include both of the tests I did for the fourth week's portrait. I'm constantly researching how to render values and manage shadows and depht, but I realize I'm repeating a few of the same mistakes. In this case I used Fabriano 100% cotton fine grain paper. In the previous painting I used Baohong paper, also cotton but with the Academy Line, for the other paintings I used Meeden 100% cotton paper.
