Project 2 was fun and challenging. Always. I have learned that I don't enjoy painting sun glasses, at all. Creating an impression of a blond hair is also filled with hidden perils. Jane is fearless in a ways I can only dream of. 

I am very glad that Jane has suggested trying the portrait in a sketchbook first. It highlighted quite a few problematic areas for me - the lost highlights, heavy chin, mismatched skin tone and the background that is too dark. So painting a big portrait wasn't as intimidating because I felt I already had a "map" to follow and could work intentionally on each area.
