1. Welcome to my Class: everyone allows gazing at the sky full of stars. And it is so much special than there is a super bright full moon. How magical it would be to paint your own moon. Does that sound exciting too? If so, then this classes for you. For me, the sight of a full moon fills me with so much off positivity and energy. Asthma test allows seeing them. I enjoy painting a dust bowl. Hello, everyone myself. Sunny Not being on today, I'm back with the most recommended class. By most off you. This class will take you through the radius tips and techniques, how you can paint the moon and the most simplest re on in the most realistic way. The class begins with the phone exercise off painting watercolor planets and slowly will progress into painting different wounds. The best thing about this class is you don't need to have any prior knowledge. In particular, anyone can follow This class on this class is made in a way that anyone and everyone can paint. I have created five different moon predicts in this class which can be very easily followed . So if you are somebody who wanted to pay into your own moon. Now was the time. All right. I'm so excited to take you all through this fun and exciting class. So without any further ado, let's get started. 2. Art Supplies: in this video, I'm going to talk about all the supplies that you will require to follow my class. It is absolutely okay. If you don't have exact same materials that I'm using, you can go with anything you have, which is kind of similar. Let's talk about the word of Salafist for the practice. Ishan. I'll be using very shades, which I will be explaining while I paint on for the moons. I'll be using mainly paint great and integral the brand of the water. CLO doesn't really matter. You can go with any brand that you have with you. You can go with either off your tube pains or your pants. Particular, both of them will work perfect for this class other than watercolor. The next set of pain, too, will need us either off white quash or whitewater color. You would need a mixing palette to make Sonali colors. You can go with any kind of palette, which you have got. This one here is ceramic, which is actually you're serving dish, which I got from die. So so check out the serving their section off. Any home plan to find amazing ceramic cortical a pellets next on to the watercolor paper. So for today's project, I'm going with this intern brand called Triple Paper. This is 100% court on watercolor paper, which is handmade, and you can see the texture off this paper. So I strongly recommend to go with any kind off paper, but is 100% quarter on the minimum off 1 40 l b so that you have that picture to play with . So throughout the class, I will be using these two brushes. So these are number eight and number four from silver black velvet brush. These are round brushes with synthetic care. You can use any kind off round Bresch. We would need a medium sized on a smaller sized one. You will need two jars of water, one has to stay clean, and the other one has to rinse off the pain from your brush. And finally, you would need are people tell one and you racer, a pencil and a masking tape. All right, so that summarize all the materials that you will need in today's class. Grab all the medals and join me in my next video 3. Excercise - Watercolor Planets: All right. Now, let's do a quick exercise on painting some vertical of planets, so this exercise will help you understand Reedys word eclectic mix. And also, this practice session will help you learn different ways to create textures using radical arrestable. So I have my people here. I'm going to begin by drawing six circles. I'm using my masking t because the size is kind of perfect to me. Draw six equal sized circles with a compass or a circle shape late or anything which you can draw a circle with. All right, so I have six circles here. So for each one will be trying different techniques for the 1st 1 We gonna do, Ah, water, place, color technique. So I'm applying a backcourt of water onto the full circle. Okay. Now choose any color off your choice. Make sure the pain does know Too transparent. Go with a little saturated mix on, tap it into the water. Amusing indigo. As you can see here, I have only added dots of the color, and it is sort of spreading into the water bubble. Just watch the pain spreading and let it do its thing while you applied Hoping to keep cleaning the juice and try to get a nice circle. And also you can go with some different shapes or some scratchy patterns rather than just going the dots. You can add darts using more concentrated colors so that it gets small tip, play with the color and watch how it is spreading. So this is a very good exercise to create texture. This itself can be a very minimalistic moon without a lot of details. So that was water place, color. Now, the next one, we go into us color and color. So here, instead of applying water first and applying an even coat off Prussian blue as my base coat , you're only to stick to the colors, which I'm using here. Go. But any choice off ers, I'm just using the colors of the time seeing first. So this is a very fun exercise. There we are playing with the texture sand experimenting the different techniques. So the color really doesn't matter. Just fill in the entire so called word any color. Okay, so I have a nice, clinging blue circle there. Now I'm going with my second color. So this is why late, I'm just adding some random dogs here in there, and you can see how the color is spreading onto the background. So you shouldn't be adding too much of water to your base court, just the right amount for the second coat to bleed. That's enough. I'm adding more concentrated color so that it has more kept on value to it. So bad to say, gain technique. Now let's go to the next one and this one. I'm gonna use color plays color and to create more textures. I'm gonna Sprinkle some salt to it. I'm using one million as my first color, and I'm applying that and filling in the entire circle. I'm really loving, though. Effect, which we guard on the 2nd 1 It's a great color competition as food, right have already made my mind to do a huge moon in this color combination. All right, so I have filled in the entire circle. But one million. Now I'm gonna go with my second color. I'm thinking which color to cope with the next. Okay, let's have a look at the colors which I have in my palette. I have decided to go with bonds enough so I'm adding a little off that on top of the world 1,000,000 base coat, I'll just apply fuel darts offered on Let it spread. The colors are already spreading, and mixing together added more Jacko values to create more taped before the Bagram dries. I'm going to Sprinkle some salt over it. Your people needs to be still wet by new sprinkled the salt over it. It has to have that shiny called on it. So when you and assaulted kinds of separate the paint away and creates a very nice texture , let the salt takes its own time to react and separate the paint away. We'll wait for that to dry. Meanwhile, let's move on to the 4th 1 So we already tried water plus color on color. Place color. Now let's try a company, Asian off water, color and color. I will begin with applying and even coat of water. I'm going with crimson, and I'm just having the color into the water bubble. Had some dolls are little patterns on, Let it spread in the water. Now I'm going with Prussian blue, and I'm filling up the negatives piece, but little door turn shapes. Also be sure to leave a little paper space in between as you progress given eyes shape to the circle. So if you are using a normal student, agreed paper What? It's not 100%. Carter. You may not get the same effect, which I'm getting here, because my paper is 100% quarter, and it has a good texture to it. If your paper is quite flat without any picture or grains, the patterns you get me also very once you have applied your second color soft in the edges off the patterns, you single damn brush. All right, so that was water on two colors. Now let's go with the 5th 1 in this one, I'm gonna try variation off the same color on. I'll also use an ear, but to create more dimension and texture to it. I'm using pain scree, and I'm filling up the entire circle. Pain Scree is a gorgeous color to do all kinds of monochrome paintings, and especially to paint the moon at as the perfect color. And we'll be doing our next to mourn painting using Payne's gray. The scholar has a grand relating effect on It is kind of giving me a very nice texture Okay , so I have filled up the entire circle in pain Scream. Now I'm going with a little more concentrator of ocean off pain screen and adding some thoughts on it. You can see how nicely that color is spreading and creating those bleeds. Add little dots and little scratchy patterns to create more bleeds. You can also add some water drops to it, so all these will create a radiation off text shows to your planet. Now I'm going with a year bird on. I'm just picking little color from here and there as my background is still wet. Why, like picked the colors using the uber it kinds of Give me a different kind of texture. You can also dip your year but in voter fist before picking the color, so that will give you a bit more stronger effect. All right, so that's the technique using the earbuds. Now let's go to our 6th 1 See here the salt is kind of tried. Leaving the paint away on it has created a very nice texture to it that's read for that to dry completely and see the texture for the last one. Applying paint scree, apply a court off paint on the entire circle. Then I lose the tissue paper to create the patterns. Philip, the enter your circle. So this one is a very easy technique. And I still used to do my moons this way. If it's a teeny tiny moon there, I don't need too much off detail. No, I have a little piece of tissue paper on my hand on. Then just begin colors. Using this tissue paper, the tissue paper will lift off the paint, leaving a nice pattern. You can see how easily we caught a nice texture. Using a tissue paper, you can actually crystal tissue paper and to a smaller please on tap Antonio paper to create a more natural pattern. All dried. So that's it. You have your six planets here, you can see how the texture is different on each of them. We caught a six different waiting take shoes using different techniques. So for the 1st 1 we tried water on color. This can be really used as a moon. You can see how we card that Tueting colors on the 2nd 1 We tried color and color, and this won't be add a little of salt agree the texture and this was water, and two colors on the next one be used off year. But to create the texture, you could see that VD and kind off take sure and pattern on this one because we used water droplets to create more bleeds. And on this one we used a tissue paper to create the textures. All these techniques can be used in your other watercolor bridge accessible. Using this tissue paper technique, you can try a cloudy sky. So that's the good thing about watercolor. Whatever. Take thank you, learn. You can use it on a different project in a different way. That's a closer look off all the techniques we created. Look at the Warren Vera. Be added the salt. It looks like a blood wound, right? I hope you all enjoy this phone exercise. Now let's expert man these techniques on our main painting so that the six techniques which we tried, I have added the text on it for easy understanding. 4. The Super Easy Moon: Now we're gonna do the most easiest devotion off room you can paint with particular on. We'll be doing these two in decision. I have drawn a circle already, and I'm applying a bit coat of water. Apply it along the outline of the circle. I'm using pains, grief for my moon, and I'm going with the lightest tones off pain screen and applying that as irregular shapes and patterns. You can go with any random shapes. Some of them can be little dots like that. A little patterns here and there. Go with the scratchy brush moment. Now I'm going with the second tool off pain screen and applying that also very randomly So I don't have any image or anything in front off me, the cyst or Italy Random. This is gonna be the simplest abortion off a moon. I'm not replicating any really image or anything. As you go. Give them on a good shape. Now I'm going to the next tone off pain scree. The only thing you need to keep in mind as we need to see that three different tones off pains. Greece, so never fill up any base layer, but you have applied keep adding the next tones in a very random pattern so that he won't fill up the entire base layer, which you have already applied, and putting random dogs here and there, and you can see how they are spreading and creating a good bleed. You can see the way I'm adding the different tones. You can see how I'm respecting each layer, which we have applied. There is little negative space, which is the papers beef. And there is the lightest tune off pain, scree and the next tune and the darkest own, which we applied now. Now, with your little wet brush soft in the edges off all those patterns we applied go in a circular motion and soft in the edges off all those patterns. I'm just giving my moon a good shape. The left side of the moon looks but plane, so I'm gonna add some more Dakhil patterns. Were this a D O and I leave it asset Er's and let it spread to the background. So that's ever easiest. Ocean off Moon will be played with different tunes off the scene color, so we started by applying of it coat of water event with the first tune off pain scree on. Then we went with the 2nd 2 and then on top of that we add level. So tune then we went in and soft in the edges off the patterns and some of them we left acid is who we have that competition off rough and smooth patterns and that's it. And this is how it looks when it has dried. Now I'm gonna apply Blackwater color over the background. I'm feeling the entire your background space with black color. So if you don't want to add a color to your background, you can skip the 60 size. I'm gonna add this black color and then I splatter some stars over it. You can see when I'm applying that black color over the background of this kind of enhancing the moon. So you have that great contrast off the night sky and the moon. All right. I have filled up the entire background and black color. Now I'm gonna splatter some stars. I'm using glass here, Onda splattering some stars over it. And this is how my final more as Liukin that was easy. Right now I'll show you one more more in time lapse just to make the idea more clear. Sit back and enjoy with the cup off coffee. So this is just to make you understand that asked, you're applying the color in a very random order. You are never going to get the same piece. But you painted before. So every time you bring into your moon as unique as you are trying Overton technique on. That's my moon. Now I'm gonna add a little court over the right side. I had already left a little space or the right side thinking I'll add a code. I'm not a lettering. Prove. So please excuse if I'm not doing a try. So to make my life easier, I had added a pencil sketch there. Andi, I'm just running my marker over it. So there are less chances off making mistake. I have no tried lettering, you know. Now I feel like I should invest a little time on loan lettering. I have done a little on the iPad, but then I have never tried it on the paper. Freehand lettering us. Quiet, difficult and challenging. I cannot write everything in one go. I kind of break it in between and that does work you shouldn't be doing it seems all right . So that's my moon and the little court. You are my moon. Andi, That's the two pieces be tried on decision. I think it is quite easy. We did toe in less than maybe 20 minutes on. Now it's time to put a little more effort on dry, a realistic, more so quickly join me in my next week deal. 5. The Realistic Moon: All right, guys, we tried a super easy moon. Now let's go for a little more detailed and realistic one. I'm gonna use pains, grief for the entire project on. I already have my circle really there. So just to understand the highlights and the shadows better I took a reference picture from Google on Dhere. You have hurt. You can see the radiance highlights and different tones on. And those patterns you have in a really moon, you can see, though shadows and highlights. And there you have this spiral sort of footing to secretos. So we will be trying to replicate those things which you see in the photograph and our painting. All right, so let's get started. I'm going to begin by applying a wet court of water to the entire circle, so I applied even goto water. Now I'm back to this photograph. You can see how it has a lighter tone outside and how it has all shadows and darko tones in the middle. So I'm gonna try and do some patterns like that, but the medium tone off pain scree. I'm going to draw some irregular patterns. As you see in the picture. It doesn't really need to be exactly the same on every picture. Off moon is unique. So whichever for do you are looking at? You can try and replicate those patterns, so I'm drawing thes battles over here. If you are looking at the photograph, it will give you more understanding about the different tonal values. Don't be scared. Just go with random patterns. It doesn't really need to be exactly the way you see in the picture to me. I believe you can never paint the moon drunk. So however you painted it, it has a beauty to it. So don't be scared at all. Now I'm just taking the paint around the outline on giving it. Oh, better shape. You can see how beautifully the color spread into the background. I didn't soft in the edges or I didn't do anything to them. I just randomly applied the shapes over the wet background. Now I'm going with a bit more docker ocean off pain scree, and I'm defining the patterns. Okay, As you can see here, I'm not feeling the entire sheep or pattern. I'm taking my brush in a screw Billy kind of a way I didn't want them to be so much defined . That's why I went with a very random scrub Lee movement. Now, with the damn brush, I'm gonna soft in the edges off all those patterns. The more roughness you can add to your moon makes it more realistic. So don't make a small plan. Just go in a circle, are we? Andi? Just blend the outer edges. Leave the inside acid. Er's let it be sharp. That's shortly. OK, now I'm gonna add a drop of water to those patterns and you see how the greatest are formed . You can see how the pain is moving away. Then I'm adding the drop of water. You can see the effect which we have. God. All right, so that's where we are now. Our next step is to go in with more taco values on and add more depth to the moon. So my people are still a little wet, which is perfect. The good thing about this is when you apply your patterns, the edges off the patterns will still spread a little, and they won't look too sharp. I'm taking this DACA value over this out. Try Andi. I'm creating random patterns. I'll do one more crater here, So that's why I'm leaving the center. Which lighter? Aunt, I'll put some dogs and some patterns over here. Don't worry if you Bagram has completely dried after you drop in your color, you can soft in the edges using in Tampa Rush. Wherever you feel like the patterns needs to be more defined, you can add more tackle values. I'm taking a towards this outline. Andi. I'll add some more patterns on the top. Viol. You add the colors. Remember to give your moon a good shape so this can be done as you progress, adding an irregular so she pure. You can see my pack ground has almost dried, so what I'll do is I'll go and soft on them using a damn brush. Now you know there is no problem. If your background is completely dried, you can soft in them using little bit brush. So wherever you feel like your patterns are more sharp, you can do this. Now I'm gonna add a drop of water to the crater, which I said I'll be adding one so you can see how the paint is separating away and creating a nice effect the creators are what makes the moon look more realistic. So you can play with bigger ones and smaller ones. Some and lighter Toon summoned Darko tone same way I live on my creator over here. So I'm gonna add in some more pains. Gree. I'm going and feeling the pain scree over a little A DEA as I want that area to be, but more talker now what a little wet brush I'm going to soft in the edges off that battle in which I applied. I'm not disturbing the creatures, which I already made. I'm just taking my brush around him. Oh, right now I'm adding in a drop of water. You can see how it is making that creator by spreading the paint away. You can see the word has spread on. Made a big crater here. Now I'll just drop in some dark abortion off pain scree to make it more defined. Meanwhile, it spread We can add a drop off white gosh so that it has more time and gentle it. Just adult daughter white Gosh, over those creatures, you can also add some thoughts and little patterns. I'm also adding some splatters using this invite Quash? No, I'm adding those winds to that creators. I don't know what to call it. You can see this pilot kind of foot thing over the moon. So with my quash on and oh, detailing brush, I'm just adding random lines outward. I just cleaned this outer line as it looks bit old over here. If you are planning to fill in the background with black or any other color, you can skip this. I'm not intending to fill a background color, so I have to clean the outline off the moon to the creator we have created. Now I'm gonna put a dog off pain scream. Just take pains gree in your brush and just aren't our daughter off that to the center off the creator Now with a dry brush soft and outer line off that greater and now after that, are a solid dog to boot. The centers I just cleaned the remaining off the outline, but I stopped in between same way. I just go around the circle on give it a good cheap. You can morally the tunes off pain screen. As you wish. You can go with a docker. I don't like this and blended towards inside. After you apply the color of a pure water, you can blend it. The line over the side looks a little sharp. Just add some more color over that side and plant it because the line was looking too much like an outline. But at some detail would decide. I'm just taking pain screen and putting little dots on then but a little wet brush. I'm sauce turning them. And as the final step I'm creating this white Graito were here as it needs to be more defined, I'm gonna use gosh on, um, dropping our dog over here, making the sport more brighter. Now with the same brush. I'm gonna draw those Wayne's starting from inside drew loose lines, which goes outside There is no number or anything, drew as many as he want at a regular interval and complete the entire circle. When I decided to teach about painting realistic moons, I was reading about Moon and I discovered the creators that you see on the moon is actually the impact the moon has caught. So it seems the number of the creators are keeping on increasing. That means the impact on the moon is that much? It was quite surprising for me to know there are these many things affecting the moon on the She planned the patterns off it. It's a good read Google about this moon, Andi. All the related stuffs and you will find it so much interesting. Okay, now I'm gonna add a dog towards the center. And also, I'm giving it an outline just like this to make it more defined. Oh, God, I'm still not happy with those shape off my moon. I'll quickly clean it up. I'll just give it. Oh, but more docker off line on but clean water. I just blended towards inside. If you have already got your moon a good shape, skip this. Never mind for me. I never get satisfied. I keep on changing things. All right, I'm finally done with 13. Quite satisfied about the shape. All right, guys. Now I'm on to the final step. The step is not really necessary. I just want to make those craters but more defined. So I'm taking a white Children on. I'm just tracing over the lines which I have already drawn because those doesn't look ready . Shower pant loud if the lines are looking too much bright and loud. You can just stabbed him with a tissue paper after you draw it. And then it will become but subtle. Yeah. Oh, okay. So that's it, guys, we are done with over but more realistic washing off. Morne, I hope you enjoyed it. 6. Moon Phases: All right, guys. We tried a quick moon and a detailed moon s For now, it's time to pay in the different moon faces the sets on exciting. So this was one of the most most recommended subject by most of my students. And finally, we are doing the moon faces. So I will be only using the color into go throughout the station. And I have drawn fi equal size circles here. So basically, the moon has a different faces on. I'm only doing five off them. This image here shows all the aid faces off the moon. I will be painting until the full moon because my paper could only decorate five circles. So if you notice after the full moon, it goes back in the opposite direction on reaches the Christian waning. And then you have your new moon and the cycle gets repeated. So if you want a country new, you can go. What? Painting? The rest. Three. Andi complete the entire eight faces. All right. That was the little cheeky. No, let's get started. This one is an application off the water. Bless color technique. Tweeted in the practice issue. Let's begin by applying a bad cold water on our first. So could so one to have applied the water. Add random dots off. Integral on, let it spread. You can also our little shapes and patterns along with the dogs. Now clean your brush and soft in the edges off all those patterns while you progress with the same color given eyes shape to the circle. All right, so that looks more. Now let's go with a bit more dark ocean off indigo on just dropping some more dogs like that and let it spread into the background. Once you have added the doctor washed off integral or and solve the pain from your brush and with a little damn bridge, soft and the and just off the patterns on that's over. New moon. Now let's go with the vaccine, crescent. I'm applying overcoat of water. No ad in the indigo dots. Let it spread. In this phase, the moon is starting to appear. So we have a little crescent on the right. Soft in the edges off those little lords we applied. Now I'm gonna make a crescent on the right, using on tac abortion off Indigo right towards this line. - Given I shape to the crescent. Maybe you can use your smaller size to brush to do this. So I have my Christian there now with plain water. I'm taking the color in world and trying to make those patterns motor. Keep repeating this exercise until you feel those patterns have become smarter. Never overdo it and lose the shape of the percent because the moon is just starting to appear and we need that little Christian sheep. All right, so that's a second face now onto third fees. I'm starting by applying water. Now the moon has progressed to have the size as it is 1/2 moon. At this fees, we need to take the DACA bush in off into go almost towards the middle. Some metal there, so haven't imaginary lying like this in your mind before you progress, but adding the color that's speaking with adding light abortion off into goo over the left side and to make those patterns motor with the damn British, basically the technique which we are using for all the face of the moon as the same, you just need to get one right and get the idea how to do what in your mind and you can progress. The only thing would be a changing the size of the lighter side. And the doctor said Now take the dark ocean off into go on your brush and apply it over the right side. As you progress. Remember to give a good shape to the circle. I'm showing their video in drill time because you can paint along with me. You don't need to pass it. So grab all the materials and paint along with me. By the time you finish the class, you will have all your moving things really to. So the shape is kind of Okay, Now I'm gonna take the paint in world and spreading it. I'm also putting some dots and little patterns, so I have to take the dark abortion until the mental line. So just apply patterns like that. The background is still Wait. Now you can see how the moon progressed from a new moon toe 1/2 moon. So that's why I told you, be a little careful. You have to get that shape right? The christened and then the half moon to understand that freezes properly. As the background is still wet. The color is nicely spreading into the background on that. Tried very beautifully. Okay, Now let's make the move to the fourth phase of the moon. This one is actually the opposite off the 2nd 1 So that means we have to take the dark ocean off into go almost ill. Three Ford off it, leaving a little lighter christened on the left side. Apply water. Leaving a little lighter color on the left side. I'm gonna fill the rest off it, but dark ocean off into go. So you see, in this one, we took it almost in the middle. Now it has to go somewhere 23 foot often just the opposite. Off this one. I'm softening the edges off the color, which I applied on the left side with a damn brush. So you see, all the techniques and the methods we're following is the same. Your concentration should be to get the shape right so that the faces are properly readable . I'm giving a good shape to the moon now. I'll progress by adding the doc abortion off integral over the right side. This is where I'll have the transition off the light or she and the darko shed. So apply your doctor color on the right and try to get a smoke. It'll while you progress to the left with the damn brush soft on the edges off those patterns or with an upside. And now, with the darkest washing off into go, give a nice shape to the circle towards the right side. One thing you have to keep in your mind as never felt the color with a single flat wash. You need to take your brush in a scratchy patty movement so that you get those rough patterns in human, which makes it look more realistic. If you want to add more texture to it, you can Sprinkle salt over each of the faces while it is wet. So go back and check your exercise sheet where you have sprinkled the salt. Andi decide which takes you. You like better the one with the soldier without the salt on. Decide which one you want to follow for the moon faces. All right, guys, Now we are on the full moon. Now we have reached the first phase, which is the last faith off my moon for about full moon. I'm gonna try the color and color technique which we practiced, which was the 2nd 1 where I used the Prussian blue and purple. So I'm applying a lighter washn off into goo over the entire circle. Value progress. Never forget to give you a moon. A good shape. You can actually be in the moon phases and any color you bush either with a single color or you can even go with two color and make the moon more dramatic. All right, so I caught a good shape to my moon. Now I'm gonna go with my doctor washing off in Tico and put random dot and little patterns , as I mentioned earlier. Don't fill up the entire moon, but the single bush off the same tune. Keep more deleting your tones so as to get rough. Look to your moon. We need to see the light or rushing off into go also in between. So don't fill up the entire negative space. You have got to leave some off them as it is. It is actually those little leg do space in between, which defines the moon better. So we have to get that light and shadow and over more, which is the dark and the light Nationals, Interco, all dried guys. So we have over five faces there. As I mentioned earlier, if you want, are the other three faces, you can go backwards and get all the eight faces on your paper. So yeah, here I have the picture again for you. So if you closely notice, it is exactly the mirror off the three you have in the middle. So after the full moon, you can paint them in the opposite direction. Andi, finish your entire eight faces. Now, onto my most favorite part, I'm gonna splatter some color over the moon faces. If you don't want to do this, you can skip this part. I took paint on one brush and with another brush em tapping on it to create this platters. If you're quite happy with what you have got until now, you don't need to splatter it. Because sometimes if it won't get the right consistency off the paint, your splatters can spoil your painting. I love adding this plateaus because it gives a bit more rough and rustic look to my moon. But then, if you're afraid to do this, never do it. Okay? Are you can try this platter on a rough paper. And if you're confident you can splatter or never moon faces, it is not really necessary on Lee. If you really want to do it, go forward else I wouldn't recommend doing it. All right, guys. So we have our five faces ready there. I'm really loving it, So Yeah, Go ahead. Try it. I hope you all enjoyed it. Maybe you can go with a different color. Are you can use Indigo itself. Andi paid your own moon. How exciting is that? So pain to mourn and share it with me. I would love to see them. I have a little surprise. Bonus. Listen for you. Grab a cup of tea or coffee and China me in my next week too. 7. Bonus Lesson - Purple Moon: all dried guys. So here is your bonus. Listen, I have already drawn a big circle on my paper on the left, and you could see 1/2 circle on the right. So let's speaking with applying overcoat of water onto the paper, Philip, the entire circle with a clean, even coat of water That was quite a big circle. Now let's have a look at the color that we're gonna use for this morning. So this one is connected on poeple by Daniel Smith on the next one, I'm going. But as Kabbah's blue violet again by Tamil Smith. So don't stress out if you don't have the exact same color. Go. But any kind off Copeland Violet, which you have with you. All right, let's begin the fun. I'm taking a but Dolph purple on my brush on applying darts and patterns. Now I'm switching to Violet and creating those similar patterns. Don't fill up the entire negative space completely. Remember to leave little people space here and there. As you apply your popular by, let also remember to give your moon a good shape as you progress, I'm gonna add some dots off purple over this area. as it looks quite empty. So you really don't need to follow what I'm doing. Go with any order, any sheep. Just fill up the area, leaving a little off paper space in between. That was the lightest one off pople and violet. Now I'm gonna go with Ah, but more darker version off pulled the sheet, starting with purple. Um, applying a bit more dark ocean off purple than the first layer. Do the same thing. Apply daughter and random shapes. No, I'm going with while it on adding some irregular shapes. My background is still a little bet that is not tried completely. Well, look at that. I allowed with the colors house spread on. That's the beauty of the Britain technique, as is adapter paint on the people and it creates this beautiful bleeds. Now I'm going with a dark devotionals purple and dabbing that onto the paper. You could see them bleeding into the background, creating a beautiful explosion off purple. You can see those bleeds and the wanes the color is producing. Now I'm going to do the same thing with Violet and enjoying the way they are spreading into the background, creating such beautiful bleeds off the color. It is not in my control, and that is the best part of Britain. But technique you will be never able to create the exact same bush in what you have done before. Every time you do. Everton were technique. It's a unique piece, actually. So in between I clean my brush on with a little damp brush. I'm gonna soft in the ages off all this little patterns here. No, it doesn't need to be to smooth You can leave some often acid er's So that part is mostly done Now I'm gonna take a dark abortion off purple on violet on all Splatter it over my moon So my background is in a state where some medias are dried and some media's are still wet So once I splatter, some splatters will start spreading and some of them wound And that is worth adds to the beauty off the moon. I'll go with one more round off, splattering on and maybe by the cells. Top old ride. Kai's I'm done. No more splatters. I'm gonna stop it there. It's a very lovely color competition, actually. Right. Maybe I should do the moon faces also with these two colors. Anyway, let's go to our second moon, where I'm painting 1/2 moon. I'm not applying water. I'm directly going in, but my purple and I'm blending that out. Value applied a color given eyes she to your percent. I'm adding a bit of violet now, just dropping it here and there, soft in the edges off all those patterns which are looking very sharp. So our idea is to apply paint only till this line on blend out the rest of the color out into the background using pure water. So I'm taking water on my brush and I'm gonna blend it out into the paper. So our first tone as nicely blended into the paper, we have gained only over the right side. Now I'm gonna drop in the provisionals. Both the colors just ask pleaded in the full moon had some darts and Iraq glow patterns and let that spread into the wet background. Let it spread. Meanwhile, clean your brush properly, clean it and soft in the edges, soft in them in a SoCal a moment as I'm doing here. But the smaller brush give a clean shape to your crescent. I took a little off purple to clean the edges. So to create these two moons, I took only two different tonal values off purple. And while it on with a bit more dark ocean off the same sheet I splattered. So basically does just three tonal values. You can actually play with a lot more tunes off the same sheet to great more depth to it. I'll just add some more dots off Purple on. Violate. Let it spread. My background is still a little bit, so I'm making use offered. I'm gonna splatter the dark abortion off purple and violet over my crescent. There is no rule food. Others just blindly splatter over your moon and said, Pack and enjoy the ble on the way the color is spreading and that's it, we are telling with our purple moon, this is actually a great exercise to learn on understand wet on wet technique up. So the way the color is bleeding into the background a different point, then your people is completely wet and when it is half dried, so it gives you a lot of understanding about the color and the way they act. All right, guys, Thanks a lot for joining me. I hope you all enjoy this quick 10 minute exercise of creating this purple moon experiment with various colors and do pose them. I would love to see how creative you guys are. 8. Thank you for Watching: Hello, guys. We made it to the end. I hope you all enjoyed painting with me. We did quite a lot off more experiments and practices in this class. I hope this will help you in your future projects as well. We started the class by painting. Vertical of planets on that exercise made us understand the hideous techniques on how to create with his textures on. Then we painted the easiest option off a moon. On slowly we progress to this little more advanced and realistic kind of full moon. And then we progressed to the smooth faces repainted. Such courage is smooth faces using a single color. And finally we painted this purple moon's which us? A kind of stylized version off a moon. All right, so that was it. Do share your class projects with me. Upload them on the project gallery on attack me if you're posting them on to Instagram and I was allowed to share them on be sure to check out my next class where we will be painting the super bright blood moons. So guys, go paint your moon magic. Thanks a lot for watching and happy painting
