It helps you recognize areas for improvement and refine your skills. Don't hesitate to share your creations. We all begin somewhere, and here no one will judge you. Let's get started now and immerse ourselves in the world of video editing with amba. 3. Interface: This first video, we're going to have a look at the interface that amba offers us whenever we want to edit a video. And to start the project, we have several alternatives. First one, we can go on create design, and then from here, we can search, for example, Instagram reels. There you go. And then we're going to have ten 80 by 1920, which is the vertical format for Instagram Reels, take Talk, YouTube shorts. Or we can also start a new video. Let's write it like this. And then we can have this one, which is the first one is like a horizontal video for YouTube. So let's start with this one. But then I want to show you that by going in this category as well here, as you can see, we have for you, dogs, white boards, we have videos as well. Then we can choose different format as well. For example, the Facebook video, which is the squared one, ten 80 by ten 80. But again, let's start with a normal one, so we're just going to create a blank project. Now, let's try to understand all the buttons that we have around here. And in the center, obviously, you have the main project. Then in the button part, you have the timeline. From here, for example, you can drag all the videos that you want in order to create a sequence. And this is called the timeline, which is very important. And then you can see that there is a black triangle, and this is called playhead so you can just scrab it, hold it, and then you can move it around. And here is basically what you're scrolling throughout the video in case you want to move back and forth and maybe create a split video, maybe add some sort of text in a part, then you need to move the playhead in that part that you want to start to edit. Then in the button part, again, here, obviously, you'll be able to see the function to add a new page, in case you want to add a new section. Then we see the play button, obviously. Then we can activate or deactivate the duration. So if I click on this one, you can see that the 5 seconds of the first page now disappeared. I don't know how long this one is, but I always keep it activated. Then we can see that there is a Zoom in or zooma feature in case you want to have it smaller or bigger, and then you can have a preview full screen. Now, in the top part, you'll be able to access a menu based on the element that you have selected. Now, let me show you what I mean by that. Let's have a video, a random one, whatever it is. Let's say this one. Now, because I have this video selected, I can see that there are a few functions that I can operate on that video. Then whenever I have the video within the camera, I'll be able to modify the dimension just by dragging basically the corners. So if I want to have it full screen, I just drag the corners. Just like so, and now it's full screen because it's as big as the cama. And sometimes it can be even bigger, you can make it even bigger. That's not a problem. If you want, you can hold option and then drag one corner, and this will increase proportionally the dimension on both sides. So I hold option right now, and then I drag the corner. You can see now it's becoming bigger with the focus on the center. There you go. Was if I don't hold option and I just drag the corner, then I'm dragging one corner towards the other corner. There you go. Now, again, we're going to have a look at all these features slowly within the class. But basically, when you click Edit video, you're going to be able to add filters, maybe remove the bag and adjust the colors. With this one, you'll be able to modify the length of the video so you can drag this part and then maybe trim it towards the right or trim it towards the left. There you go. In case you want to have it shorter. Okay. Let's click done. Then here you can choose the playback options. You can crop it if you want, like this one, for example, I just want to focus on the city. That's the crop that I want. I click Enter, and now I just need to adjust the dimensions based on the Canvas maybe I want to have it smaller on the top right corner, who knows? Just put it right there. And then you can flip it in case you want to have it flip it horizontal or vertical. You can modify the border, if you want. You can animate it. So whenever it's going to start this video, then there's going to be an animation that goes in an animation that goes out. And then a position. So in case you don't want to do it manually, but you want to have it right in the center, then you can click this one, middle, and this is going to be the middle part of the Camba or you want to have it on top, so it's going to align it with the top of the cama, or so on the bottom, depending where you want, right or left. And then if you want to have it center, we just click it middle, and we're good. Then we have the opacity, so the transparency. If you want to have it, let's say, more faded and if you want to see the background behind that video, then you need to decrease the transparency. But let's leave it like that. And then if you want to lock it, which means that basically now I cannot move it by mistake anymore. But I can click this one and I can unlock it. And then the last one is the volume. So I can decrease the volume as much as I want or I can just click this one to mute the video. There you go. Then on the left side, we have all the elements that we can add to the video. For example, we can have templates. So here we can search for video templates. We can have any sort of elements, maybe your images, or shapes, graphics, gifts, literally anything that you want, you can just search for the elements here. For example, let's write music, something like that. And then from here, you can drag the menu left, right, and then you'll be able to go in audio, and then here you'll see all the musics that are available within Cambra. Okay, let's go back. Then we have text in case we want to add text, and that's what we're going to do as well, you'll be able to add it from here, and you have some templates as well. Then you're going to have the branding elements, which I don't have any at the moment. But in the menu, if you have a premium subscription in Cama, you'll be able to set all your different branding elements, and then you'll be able to add them from here directly. And then here you have your uploads. So all the video and images that you uploaded from your own local computer, and then you'll be able to draw elements here and then add third party apps at the end. Then in the top part, where you see the Camba colors, basically, you'll be able to undo whatever action you did, or also you can use common Z or Control Z, whether you're in Windows or Mac. So this will undo the last action that you did. So if I click it many times, we'll be able to see that probably my video is moving around because remember that we clicked all the different buttons, right? Then we have met switch. We have the file option. So here, you'll be able to modify the file in case you want to. You'll be able to go to the home page, back to the home page in Cambra. And then from here, we'll be able to share the video. So whenever you're done with the video, you can click on Share, and then you'll be able to download the video or also share with other people by putting their e mail allowing, for example, to modify the video or just view the video, and so on and so forth. And then here in case you want to play the video back as a preview. And lastly, you have all the people that are within that project, in case you want to share it with your friends, in case you want to add e mails and maybe allow other people to modify the same project. Here you'll be able to see how many people are actually inside the project. Then one more thing that I want to show you is how do you actually add clips to the video. Then you can just go in uploads, for example. If you want to add your own videos. You go pload files. Then you pick the files that you want. You click on open. So let's do one right now. We go ama video editing, Mg clips, then we take any video that you want. Let's pick this one, for example, and then you click on open. And now amba is going to upload it directly. As you can see here. This is the video that we just selected. You can see that there are waves going up here and also a bar here. This means that amba is uploading the file, but we can use it already at any time. And then we can put it wherever you want in the frame, or if you want to add a new page, let's say, so a consequential page to whatever we're editing right now. You just need to drag this one on the plus button right here. Move. And there you go. Now we have a new page with the video that we just dragged into our timeline and it's already full screen. But if you don't want to have it full screen, then you can just go into three dots and click on detach video from background. Now it's back to vertical. If you want to have it again, as big as you want, you can just drag these handles on the corners and then position it wherever you want. If you want to have it full screen, you just go on the tree dots, or you can just right click on the video itself and then click on set video as a background. And there you go. If you want to delete this video, you just need to click on Delete on your keyboard and you're good to go. Same thing, if you want to delete a page, you select a page, and you click on Delete. Now, I want to show you another thing as well. Whenever you're dragging a new video in the timeline, so creating a new page, then ampa will stretch the video at its full length. For example, this video is 9.4 seconds, as we can see here. And when I dragged it, now this page is long 9.4 seconds. But if I want to trim it, let's say, I want to use just one part. I don't want DN because I don't like what I say at Den. Then you simply go on the right side of the clip just right here, and then you hold it, and then you drag towards the left. This means you're trimming the video up to the point that you want to trim to. Same thing on the left side. If you want to drag and maybe eliminate the beginning of the clip, you just need to hold and drag towards the right, and then you're trimming the video itself. Okay, let's make it long again because there's one more thing that you can do. For example, there is a middle part of the video that you want to cut out. What you do is you take the playhead in that point, and then you have two ways. For example, I want to cut it from here for about 2 seconds. The first way is right click and then click on split. So this will create two different pages, and now we can drag the second clip and then move it towards the right. So now we are cutting the beginning of the second page that we just created by splitting. But then there is a faster way on how you can split the clips, and this is by clicking S on your keyboard. So again, we're going to drag the playhead right here, and then we're going to click S. Boom. Now we split the clip in two. We're going to have the beginning and also the end. Each clip now because I basically selected almost the middle is 4.8 seconds and 4.6 seconds. But it's totally up to you because eventually, you don't like this part. Maybe I want to drag it towards the right and trim the beginning of the second clip. Once again, if you made a mistake, you just need to click on Common set and boom. If you have multiple clips, let's say, let's put a bunch of random clips right here like this. There you go. Okay. Now we have multiple clips, multiple pages. But what happens if I want to, for example, reorder the pages, then I can just click and hold on one and simply drag it on where I want it to be. So let's drag this one, for example, and I want it to be at the very beginning of the video. And this one looks all right. Now, whenever I'm ready to see back the video that I created, I'm just going to click on this pats and right here and it's going to start from what they play back. So we're going to drag it towards the end and there you go. There you go. Now, you can see, and I can scroll with the bar, whether I want to start looking at the beginning, at the end of the middle, wherever you want. And there you go. These are all the main features that you have in amba. Now, if you've never edited a video before, all of this might feel overwhelming, but don't worry because we're going to also review all these features throughout the class. I'll see you in the next video. 4. Text and Graphics: This video, we're going to see how we can add text and graphics to any clip that we have within the video. Now, let's start by having an empty video, and then we're going to just drag this one right here. I'm going to stop it and also mute it because I don't want to hear my voice at the moment. We're just going to make it full screen. So again, I'm holding option right now, and then I'm dragging one of the corner towards the outside. There you go, and now it's full screen. Let's say you want to make a YouTube video, and you want to add your name at the beginning. Now, what we do is we need to go in text here, and then you'll be able to choose between some templates that we have already here. Or you can start with a fresh text, let's say, white, then you'll be able to modify all the fonts. So let's start with the normal one, and then we're just going to grab this one ahead in, and then we're going to write Simone because this is my name. There you go. Now, when we select the text, we'll be able to modify everything like it was award document. So let's say I want to make it italic. Just go to select it all. I'm going to make it italic. Maybe you want to remove the bad. You can change the phone. I like Montserrat. Let's see if there is here. There you go. There's this one. I really like it. So we're just going to use this one. Then you can add different effects. For example, if you want to have a shadow, for example, if you want to have a background, I really like the background sometimes. You can change the roundness of the background. So this is just literally squared, or you can make it similar to a circle. Yeah, just like that. There you go. And then you can change the spread. So how big the background should be. There you go. Now, let's have it a little bit smaller and then it transparency. If I want to see what's beneath the background, let's put it, I like it full. So we're going to leave it like this. Then dragging handle. Again, we can modify the dimension of the text. We can put it right in the corner here. Maybe we can change the color of the background. Let's have it yellow, just like that, and also the color of the phone. Maybe we put it black. I like the yellow and black vibes. Now, again, we can select the text, and then we can also animate it in this case, so you can just click on animate. And then you'll be able to choose all the different movements that are present within amba. Even here, I'm not going to show you them all because you can just take your time and pick the favorite one, your favorite one. I'm just going to Yeah, let's use a pop one. I like it. And now we can decide when do we want the animation when the text enters or when it exits or both of them. I'm going to pick both. We can choose the speed. And then if you scroll down, you'll be able to add motion effects to the video itself whenever it's on screen. So let's add it in pulse. You can see that the text is moving while on screen. So let's go to pick this one, and then you can choose the intensity. I'm going to go down just like that. Boom. There you go. Now, what happens is, maybe I want to have the text only in the first 3 seconds. I don't want to have it for the whole 9 seconds. Then you go on the text. You click on the three buttons, and then here you click on show timing. From here, you can see that another area here popped up, these are purple area, and from here, you'll be able to modify and trim the text as well. So, for example, I want to have it for the 2 seconds only, so I'm going to drag the right part towards the left until I see that is let's say 3 seconds. Let's put it like that. And then if we drag the playhead towards the beginning and then we play it, Boom. We can see that the text popped with an animation, then started pausing because we added that motion graphic and then went away also with an animation because the animation on exit that we decided to have. At any time you can drag this text and make it as long as you want. Let's say I want to have it for the first 5.7 seconds. I'm going to put it like that, and maybe we want to remove the animation. Or the motion graphic. We just want to have a still text there that comes in and goes out with an animation but doesn't move whenever it's on screen. Then we just need to select the text, and then we go down and we remove this motion effect. So you click on it, and then you click on remove Animation. There you go. Now we're going to see again the video. Going to click on play. Boom. We have the animation going in, but now the text still is no moving, and then when it goes out, Bom, there is another animation going out. The same process is in case you want to add a template. So you don't want to write your own text, but you want to add a template. Let's see how we can do this. Let's eliminate this text. And then we're going to drag the playhead at the beginning. We can see that there are a lot of templates right here. So let's just pick a random one. Let's say this one that you want to add maybe at the end. By default, whenever you have selected a page and you add an element, whether it is a text or is a template or whatever, then it's going to be as long as the page. So let's say you want to modify. Again, what we do is we'll click on the text. We go right click and then show timing. Now, we'll be able to modify the duration of the text. So we can make it, let's say shorter by dragging either the left or the right part. So maybe we're going to drag towards the right because the thank you is going to be at the end. That's it. And then it works same as the text. We can just go and animate, and if you want to add transition in and a transition out, that's totally up to you. In this case because we're going to have it at the end of the video, maybe we just want to have a transition going in, but no transition going out because it's going to stay until the video finishes. So maybe we can have a a fade. Yeah, just like that. Then we can choose only on enter, not on both, but just on enter. Maybe decrease the speed, just like that. So now we drag the playhead toward the beginning, and we play the video, and we can see that at a certain point, the thank you will come in with a fading transition, and then it's going to stay until the end of the video and it's not going to go away. In case you decide, oh, but I like this duration, but maybe I want to have it at the beginning, then you can just drag this text and move it around. So you can place it at the beginning, and now we have the thank you that it comes in with the fade, but then it's going to go out. Suddenly, without any animation. Boom, gone. You saw. But in case you want to modify again, we can click on the text and then maybe animated on both entering and exit. There you go. We click on this, and then we're going to play it again, boom. There is an animation fading in and now it's going to fade out. There you go. Feel free to experiment a lot with the text with all the effects with all the animation and pick the one that you like the most. I'll see you in the next video. 5. Recording Yourself: In this video, I want to show you how you can record yourself directly from amba. And to do so, you need to go into uploads. And then from here, you'll be able to see a button that says record yourself. You can click on this one, and now you're going to see that I appeared in the bottom left of the screen. So what you can do is that you can drag your face and move it around wherever you want. And then in the top right part, you'll be able to choose between several options. Of which, for example, you can choose the camera. Now, I'm just using the camera of my met Boop, but in case you want to have a different and external camera, then you can select in from here. Also the microphone. I'm just using the one with my Mbboop for this recording, and then you'll be able to choose whether you want to record with the camera and also the screen. In case you want to show some tutorials, some software, what you do with your screen, or you can just record simply the screen. Now, whenever you're ready, you just need to click on record, you're going to see a count down 321, Now I'm talking on top of this slide that I put on top of the video. You can see that there is a tank you there. You can see the timing here. You can pause it at any time. Or you can resume by reclicking it. Then whenever you're done, you can simply click on done. Now, you can see that you can change the shape of the recording so you have a rectangle or you have a circle. There you go, and you can also mirror the camera. Just like so. Then whenever you're ready, if you like it, you can leave it like that, or you can delete it, and then you can click on Save and it. And now you can see that my face appeared here in the project section. So again, I can move it around wherever I want, and I'm talking on top of the video. But now, let's notice one thing. Amb recorded me as a full video, and then it put me in a circle, right? So potentially, I can use this recording in a new page, just dragging it into a new page. There you go. And now I have the recording that we just made using the web come off my computer. But then this recording is 15 seconds. As you can see, this video used to be 9 seconds, but now it's 15. What happened and why? Kanva put my recording on top of the existing clip that used to be there. And now, after the 9 seconds, the clip that is underneath my recording is going to loop. It's going to start again from zero. Just to cover the whole recording period, the 15 seconds. But then if I want to trim that recording, I can just click on the recording again on the three buttons or right click. I'm going to show timing. And then here I can reduce the duration of this clip by trimming at the end or at the beginning, up to you. Let's say I want to have 9 seconds because in the last 6 seconds I made a mistake. There you go. And now I can even grab the bottom layer, just like that, the bottom clip, and I'm going to trim it as well. Boom. And now I have just the original 9 seconds. I'm talking on top of this slide. Even in this case, because this is an element within cama, you'll be able to animate. Just click on the element, go on animate and then select the transition that you want to have. Let's have, for example, the pop again, and then we can choose the animation, whether we want it on enter or on exit or both. So let's have it both, and now we can see if we play the video back, boom, pops in, that there is a ten there. You can see the timing here. You can pause it at any time. And then boom, it goes out. Now, one last thing that I want to show you is how you can record yourself the screen. In case you have maybe a presentation that you want to showcase from your screen. Let's add a new page. And then from here, this is white. So we're going to have the full length of the recording. We're going to record yourself. And then from here, you can pick camera and screen. So you'll see yourself from the webcom and also you can choose whether you want to record just a Chrome tab a window or the entire screen. Now, let's record the entire screen, and then I'm going to click on Share. Okay. Now we're going to see this super infinite effect. But then let's say, I'm going to start recording. Okay. And then I can move my screen on the right side, and maybe I can show you some photos like this one that I took the leg garder and stuff like that. And then whenever I'm ready, I can move back and click on done. Okay. Now, we click on save and exit, and there you go. Now, because we recorded for 16 seconds, this page is now along 16 seconds. There you go and we can see that we have the whole recording of my screen. So whenever I open the folder, when I show you the photos and so on and so forth. These elements are all individual. So you can move them around, you can make them bigger or smaller. So, for example, like this one, I want to have the screen record a little bit bigger. And then I want to have myself also a little bit bigger, but on the top left corner instead. So I'm just going to drag myself over here. B There you go. And then because I don't want to have the first part where there was the infinite effect, but I just want to show whenever I'm opening the folder, then I can go here. And then I'm going to click on S split. And then I can take the beginning and simply delete it. Boom. And now I just have the part where I show you the folder, the images, and so on and so forth. Now, once again, if I want to trim towards the end, I have the option to split or simply trim both files. So we're going to trim it until here, and we're going to do the same thing with the bottom layer. There you go. And now we have just the interesting part where I show you the image. Alright, that's all for recording yourself. I hope you enjoy it, and I'm going to see you in the next video. 6. Audio Considerations: In this video, we're going to talk about audio. We're going to try to look for music, we're going to try to record a voice over and also modify the volume of each part of the video. So I want to show you the first thing that I've showed you already a little bit before in the interface, but it was briefly. Whenever you select a clip within your timeline, you'll be able to go in this button right here that says volume. And here you can modify the intensity of the volume. So let's say you want to have it 100%, you're going to have it 50%, you're going to have 20%. Why this is important? Well, because, for example, when we're going to add music, maybe we want to have it in the background, not as loud as the voice. Or for example, if you want to mute one clip because maybe you record something, but you just want it as an ad clip, maybe as a bro, then we can mute it by clicking on this buts and right here. Now, regarding music, there are two ways on how you can integrate music in your video. The first one and you go in elements, and then you write, for example, Latino music or something like that, and then you can scroll in the menu, you go in audio, and here, you'll be able to see all the music that are available. Most of them are available to use only for pro users. So let's click on this one, and then it's going to be added already automatically from where the playhead was. So let me show you again, we delete this part. Maybe now this time, we're going to drag the playhead towards the beginning. We click on the music, and there you go. Now we have the music that lasts for the whole nine second of the clip that we have in the timeline. If you have multiple elements in your video, let's put it like this one. We're going to add this camera right here. We're going to add this one over here. There you go. Now we can see that the music is 17.3 seconds long, which is basically the overall video that we have with these three clips. Then we can grab this music and we can choose a different section by holding and dragging towards the left all towards the right. Just like so. Once again, if you want to reduce the length of the music, the duration of the music, you just drag one of the two handles, and then you jog towards the left, for example, if you want to have it only for the talking head. Just like that. Once again, maybe this music is a little bit too loud, so we're going to drag the volume to maybe 20%. Just like that. And now, let's see if we can hear it back. Let's go back and activate this volume. Here, we're going to have two sections. In the first one, we're going to talk about text to image, and in the second we're going to talk. There you go. We can hear the music. But now I want to show you also another detail of the music. Can you see this little white pointers here? This means that there is a beat in the music. And these guys help us to edit based on the bit of the music, which is super important whenever you're editing some videos. So let's say I want to have this camel that it changes only on the beat of the music that I want to make sure that maybe I match it with this beat. There you go. And this one as well, maybe you want to have it shorter, so it matches with the beat of the music, and that's it. Or what you could do, also, there is a features that allows you to automatically bit sync, which means said I'm just going to select the music that I click on Bit sync. And here I can click on Sync now. And your pages and elements will be automatically time to the music. So I'm just going to click on this one, and boom. It did that with just a few clips that we have it, but we're going to use this tool a little bit later as well. Now, I want to show you the second way on how you can add music to your project, and this is about uploading it yourself. So the way I suggest you do it in case you want to edit your vides in ama and have the highest quality of music is by outsourcing them maybe into website like artist or epidemic sound, which are membership based, but will allow you to have super super cool music that you can choose from different themes, different beat, different genres, and so on and so forth. So to do this, you just need to go upload, and then you're going to go into upload files. And then from here, you'll be able to select the music that you downloaded from a third party website and then click on pen. Here, you're going to have again, in the upload section, you'll be able to go into audio, and here you have all the music that you uploaded yourself. If we pick this one, for example, that I uploaded before, we're just going to have another layer right here because this is an upload, it's not the music that we pick from Cambra. And then from here, maybe we can delete the music that we had before. And then if we click on play, we're going to be able to hear the music that we loaded. Now, obviously it's way too loud, so you can just go on volume and decrease the volume. Maybe we put it 18%, and then if you play it back. We're going to talk about the te Still too loud. Maybe let's have it ten or eight, and then Now is okay. Same thing. If you want to change the section of the music that you're using, simply hold your mouse on the music and drag left or right. There you go. Now I want to show you one more thing, and this is how to do a voice over on your video. So let's say in this part, I want to talk about a camel moving into a city. The best way to do this is to record the voice memo directly on your computer or on your smartphone and then upload the file that you generated. So in the Mc, what I do, I just go on memo. Then I'm going to click on record whenever I'm ready. So here, there is a camel that basically is walking in a city full of sky screepers. Then I'm going to click Pause. I'm going to click Done. Then I'm going to move this one on my desktop. There you go. So this is the file that we have ready to be used. Then we're going to go again into Camva. We're going to plot the file and look for the file that we just generated. We go in desktop, and then we're going to pick this one. Boom. Now we have it even here in audio, and we'll be able to add it to our project. We just click on it, and then it's going to automatically add it to our project. This is a different color. It's a different level is the music. So we'll be able to use them both, both the music and also the voice over. Now, let's hear it back. So here, there is a camel. Okay, let's decrease the volume of the music so that we can hear it. Let's just have it one. And then maybe this one, we're going to make it actually more powerful. Let's have it one 50. Let's see what happens. Here, there is a camel. That is walking in the city full of Skyscreers. There you go. So now we added a voice over. All right. And that said about audio, you'll be able to choose your music, whether you take it from Kamva or At yourself, and also do a voice over on your videos whenever you want to do a talking head and explaining something that is going on within your video. I hope you enjoy it. I'm going to see the next one. 7. Adding Broll: Whenever you're editing a video, you almost always have L and Bureau. Arrow is your primary footage. If you're doing a toghad or having a dialogue where two people speak, then this is the arrow. Whereas the bureau is whatever additional footage that goes on top, maybe to explain what you're talking about. If you have a talking head, let's say, explaining three things that you'd like to do in London, then maybe you can have some Bureau on top showcasing these elements. So whether it's a big band, London i, San Paul, Westminster Bridge, whatever that is, then all the extra footage that you put on top to explain what you're talking about in the L is called Bro. And now I want to show you how you can add barrel on top of your talking head, for example. And the process is extremely similar to adding text or templates. So whenever you have your arrow, which is this one where I'm talking towards the camera, we can go into either uploads our own bureau or we can go in elements and find some videos within camera. So let's say I'm talking about London. I'm just going to write London here, and then I can go in videos, and then here I can pick some bas. So, for example, I can have maybe this one. And then you can see that now we have the video of London on top of our talking head. So I can make it as big as the full screen, just like so. And now you can see that the length of the video is now 10 seconds because this video was 10 seconds and the one below me was shorter. But I don't want it to be that long because otherwise, my talking head in the background will start looping. So what I do is simply right click, show timing, and then I can make it smaller. There you go. And maybe I want to have it just in the central part. So I want to see myself that at a certain point I start talking about London, so I want to see the beer of London, and then again, going back towards my face. Now, let's make this one smaller, 9.3 as it used to be before. There you go. Now if you play back the video, we have the me talking on the camera. A. Then we have the Brea talk about text the video. And then we have the row again. So, that's it. Super simple. That's how you add bureau. But now there is one tricky thing about Kamva editor, which is not the best way of organizing things, but I think maybe they're going to fix it in the future, I don't know. So let's say you want to add multiple barrels. Well, you can do so by dragging the playhead, wherever you want to have the additional bureau. Let's say, at the beginning, I want to have the first 2 seconds with the burea, okay? You're going to hear my voice in the background, but then you're going to see some other footage, not me talking to the camera in the first 2 seconds. Then what I do is I simply select whatever bureau I want. Same concept. I'm just going to make it full screen. Now I'm going to click on the three dot or right click, then do show timing. And here, I'm just going to drag it to have the first 2 seconds on top of my talking head. Now, I take the playhead. I go to start from the beginning. Let's play the video together. Media. And here, we're going to have two sections. The first one we're going to talk about text to image, and the second we're going to talk about text to video. Good. There you go. We got the first bureau while I was talking in the background, and there is also the music, the one that we added before. Then there is going to be me talking head, then again, another bureau of London, and then me talking head again. So that's how you build up the video. Now, this process sometimes gets a little bit complicated. Whenever you're dragging a video that is bigger than the talking head. In the background. The way I go around it is by splitting the video based on the length of the be roll that I want to use. For example, now in the last 1.8 seconds or so, I want to add another be roll. Well, I'm going to go here. So let's say yeah, probably here. I'm going to click on S, and now I have a new page that is 1.8 seconds long. And then I can add another bell. Let's say, let's drag. Maybe this one. And now as you can see, it became 15 seconds long because the bureau that I chose was 15 seconds long. So I'm going to make it as big as the full screen. There you go. And now I'm going to drag this one just to have it for 1.8 seconds and also the one in the back. There you go. And now I have the B roll on top of my talking head. The same exact concept goes in case you want to upload your own videos as B. So you just need to go into load. So let's add, for example, another section just like this. And then now I want to add another be roll on this one that I uploaded, then I need to go in uploads. And then I'm just going to select whatever footage I want that is in my loads. For example, this camera right here, I'm going to click on it, and this one will go on top of the page that I selected before. So I was in this one. I went on top. Then the B roll that we add it is 4 seconds long, but the talking head is 9.3, which means that the B roll is going to go into loop. So it's going to go back to the store when finished. But then if I want to make it shorter, I want to have it just for the 4 seconds, same process, right click, show timing, and then I'm going to drag the end towards the 4 seconds, and that's it. You can move it around, obviously, whether you want to go towards the end, the middle, so you can move the bureau wherever you want. Obviously, if you have some bureau with audio, but you don't want audio in the bureau, you do the same thing. You just select the clip itself, and then you go into audio and you can mute that clip. There you go. Now we have a nice talking hat with some Bureau on top where I'm explaining London, and then we have different pages. We have different things. There you go. All right. That's it for Adding Bell, I'm going to see you in the next video. 8. Transitions: This video, we're going to talk about transitions, and add the transitions in mb is super simple. Let me show you how to do it. In between two pages, you'll just need to hold your pointer here in the middle. And here you can add a page in case you want to add another clip in between two clips, or you can select the other button, which is a transition. Now, let's click it, and here you'll be able to choose the transition that you want to use. You can use dissolve, you can use slide, you can use circle wipe and then you can just play around with all the transitions. Let's use a dissolve one. Click on it, and here you'll be able to choose the duration in seconds. So maybe you want to have it 1 second, you want to have it shorter, let's have it for 0.3 seconds. There you go. And then you have the possibility to live it like that. So just to have one single transition with the solve, or you can apply between all different pages. Now, you can see that here in the timeline we have now the transition symbol, meaning that we apply the transition between those two clips. But if you want to apply between all pages, then if we click this button, boom, we can see that we got another icon also between the other two clips. And also, there's one more thing that I want to show you. Let's zoom in in the timeline. Just like that. There you go. Now, you can see that here we have some little purple rectangles covering a bit of the clip? That's the duration of the transition. So let me show you by selecting the transition, what happens when we increase the duration of the transition. Now, these rectangles, you see, just right here, they are bigger because the transition is lasting longer. Let's zoom in even more so I can show you better. There you go. Can you see these purple rectangles? Whenever I change the duration, these guys are going to become smaller, and now they're super small because I put the duration of 0.12 seconds. So in this case, you can see for how long the transition lasts between the two clips. And that's it, at any time, you can just go back and simply change the transition in case you like something else in case you want to modify that one or the other one. My personal preference, I try to not use many transitions because usually are, let's say, a sign that you are a beginner video editor, if you use too many, if you go overboard with it. So just keep it simple. Use some dissolve if you want, or even just like straight cuts are right. And also, I want to show you another type of transition, which is not actually transition is kind of a trick that you use to engage a little bit more, the audience in case you have a long talking head. You can do a zooming effect to kind of change a little bit dingle and engage your audience back into the video. So let's zoom out from the timeline. Then we're going to go into uploads. We're going to add again another page. Same page it doesn't really. Matter. Now I want to show you what happens. And to do so, I'm going to go let's say in this part of the video, boom, and then I'm going to click on S to split. So I'm going to right click and then detach video from background. And then I'm going to select one of the corners, make it bigger. There you go. Make sure that the eyes are always on the same line, so the transition should be smooth. And in order to sell this transition, then the eyes should be on the same level. There you go. So now if we play back to video. I'm going to have two sections. In the first one, we're going to talk about text to image, and in the second we're going to talk about text to video. There you go. We got that little Zooming effect, boom. It's really nice. You can use it as much as you want. I use it also in the video sometimes. So even though if you don't notice, your mind becomes a little bit more attentive because you see that there is that movement. Alright, that's it first transitions. I'll see you in the next one. 9. Spice Up Your Clips: Now you know all the basic features to edit your videos in Cambra. But in this video, I want to show you a few tips and tricks on how you can spice up your videos even more. So let's start by creating a new page and using one of the videos that I uploaded. Let's drag this one, and we put it in a new page, just like so. The first thing that I want to show you is how you can edit the colors of a video. You just need to select the video, and then you go into edit video. Here you'll be able to add some filters. Just like so, and also choosing the intensity in case you want is stronger or lighter. Let's just go to none. And then you'll be able to also go on adjust. And here you have all the options like you're editing a photo. So you can just the warmth. The tint. Be careful with this one is very strong. We're going to go to zero. Then the brightness, if you want to have a little bit brighter, the contrast, highlights, shadows, fade, colors, and the texture as well. In case you want to add a little bit of the tin. Now, I'm just going to click Rest, and I'll let you play around with all the colors, the lighting and stuff because I want to show you another thing, which is removing the background from your videos. And this is super cool. It doesn't work 100% of the times because it depends on the background, depends on the quality of the video, whether basically AI can figure it out whether there is a person and how to cut out the person. But maybe with this clip, it's going to work. So let's see. To achieve this effect, I want to show you how you can have any sort of element, whether it's text, whether it's a gift, whether it's a video, whether it's an image, and then basically have it behind myself. So let's just grab any sort of element. Let's go into element and maybe write some star. Gifts. That's that. And then we're going to go into graphics, and we'll pick maybe this one. Okay? Now, you can see that this is in front of my face, right? Because obviously, we have the video, and then we have on top the gift. But then what happens if I take the same video, and then I'm going to put it on top of the one that we have on top also of the gifts. Now you don't see anymore the gifts because I put another video on top of it. But then I select a video going in edit video, and then I'm going to click on background remover. This is actually a feature available only to pro users. But then I'm going to click on it, and then Canva is going to take a while to do its magic. And there you go. The stars are now behind me because now we have three layers. The base video, normal, the one that we know, then we have a gift on top, and then we have a cutout video only where you see myself. Everything else is not there, basically. That's why we got three videos, and we can manage to actually put elements in the background behind myself. Now, let's play the video. And we can see that Canva did an amazing job in recognizing me and bas cutting me out. We can do the exact same thing by adding text, for example. So let's eliminate this gift. Then let's go into text and take anyone. Let's take this one coming soon. I like it. Okay. We're going to make it very big. Just like that. Then again, we're going to position the playhead at the beginning here, and then we're going to go into upload. Then we're going to take this video, make it full screen, and then edit video background remover. Now what happens is that it removed the background, but my video is still underneath the text. To bring it up, what you can do is simply moving the layer upwards. So we're just going to right click on my figure. We're going to go into layer and then click on bring forward. There you go. Now we got the video where it's just me, and if I'm moving around, you can see that it's just me, there's no background. But then because we have it on top of the original image, then it looks like the text is behind myself. And then if you play the video again, we can see that the text is right behind me. And this is super cool, and you can use it in so many different ways. It's amazing. So remember, you can add text templates, videos, images, anything you want, and with the background remover with two layers, one in the button, and one in the top, then you can achieve amazing things. But let's say, for example, you want to have only a video, behind yourself, then maybe you don't need the bottom layer. Let me show you. You want to have a normal video. So let's grab, for example, the sky screepers. Then you just need to basically have it one layer below my cut out video. So we're going to right click on this one, and then we're going to click on layer, bring backward. There you go. Now it's behind myself. So I can delete all the other elements. I can delete the video that is in the background. I can delete the text, whatever I want because maybe I just want to have this one in the background. And then I can move myself around as well. Let's play the video again, and we can see that there is my figure without the original background, but just this video in the background, the one we picked. Yes, as you can tell, this is probably one of my favorite features. I hope you enjoyed this video. I'm going to see you in the next one. 10. Example - Editing a Reel From Scratch: In this video, we're going to edit a video and Instagram Real together from start to finish. And to do so, I'm going to start by creating a new design and then looking for Instagram Reel. Now we're going to start with the clip that I recorded. So we're going to choose this one right here. We're going to make it full screen. And then I just want you to listen to it right now. These are my three favorite spots in London. First one, Big Ben. You've got to take a photo from Westminster Bridge. Second one, London. Oh, yes, you have to do a right there. Third one sample, probably my favorite landmark. Oh, by the way, my London guide is on sale. So check it out. So this is the video. Now, it's our job to make it as engaging as possible. And we're going to do different things, applying all the techniques, tips, and tricks that we learned in this class. The first thing that I want to do is maybe adjust the colors and adjust the position of the clip. So because I wasn't really in the middle, I'm just going to make it a little bit bigger right here so that I'm in the middle. Just like that. That's perfect. And then I'm going to select it, go into it video, and then see if I like any of the filters here. Mm. Not sure about that. Not sure about that. Maybe this one could be okay. I want to try to decrease the intensity. Maybe I'm just going to pick 20, and then I go into adjust and maybe increase the contrast, a tiny bit, just like so, and maybe increase the fading. Maybe five. Yes, this is already better. Then the first thing that I want to do is adding text doing the hook of the video, which is three favorite spots in London. We're going to do at the very beginning with the playhead, just like that. Then we're going to go in the left side of the screen. We're going to pick heading. Then we're going to Let's say three, five spots. Then we're going to create another text is a sub Adding, and then we're going to write in London. There you go. Now we're going to pick this one, put it put it a little bit below the other one. We're going to select the top one. Maybe we change the font. I like Maybe we can pick this one actually. I think this is really good. No. Yeah, okay, we're gonna pick legs Parton and then we're going to do the same with the other one in the bottom. Just like that. Boom. And then maybe I want to add a background. With the top title, I'm probably going to add a different effect. Let's say a shadow, choose like this one. And then we're going to change the color into black shadow so that it becomes a little bit more visible. We're going to increase the blur, probably like that. We're going to increase the transparency so that we see it a little bit more there you go. And I think that's fine, visible enough. Then we're going to pick the bottom one in London, and I'm going to add a background. I'm going to pick a yellow color. Probably like that. And then I want to change the text into black color. There you go. And I think that's fine. Potentially, we can make slightly bigger. We can change the side. We put 70. That's good. Then we just need to select both of them and change the duration. So we're going to click right click on each of them, go show timing, and then we're going to decrease until we finish talking about London. Then we're going to trim until we finish the hook. So let's see when the hook finishes. First one. These are my three fabric spots in London. There you go. Right now. We're going to right click show timing and then align with the playhead. That's it. Same thing with the other one. A Lign with the playhead. Boom. There you go. Now, let's double check. These are my three fabric spots in London. First one. Okay. That's okay. And then we're going to pick the bottom one because there is a lot of space at the beginning, so I'm just going to trim it until I start talking. Is my Yeah. That's perfect. Maybe a little bit less. Is my three fabric spots in London. First. That's fine. I just want to trim this one a little bit more so that it matches the other one. Spot in London. First one. Yeah. That's perfect. Okay. Then what I do is I'm going to split it right where the text goes away, just like here, and then I'm going to hit on split. Then I'm going to pick where I say first one, and then I'm going to go until I finish the first element and split it again. Second. There you go. Tu Bridge. Second. Nice here, and then I'm going to split it again. Take a photo from Westminster Bridge. Second one. London. Oh, yes. You have to do the right there. Third. Okay. And then I'm going to split it again before I start introducing the third one. So I know that. I'm talking about the big band, the London i, and then S Paul. Third one, S P. Cool. And then I'm just going to make sure to also split it before I start talking about the sale of my guide, which I don't actually have. So check it out. Okay. Here is where I finished the video so I can trim the button part. These are my three guy is on sale, check it out. That's perfect. Then again, probably my favorite landmark. Okay. Here. Boom. Oh, by the way, Mondo guy is on sale, so check it out. C now I just need to find barrels of whatever I'm talking about. Now the first one is the big bend, so we're going to go into elements, and we're going to write big bend. We're going to go into videos and then we'll pick whatever we want. Let's say We're going to be probably a couple of them. I like this one. So I make sure to select the first one. I noticed that it's 3.6 seconds, then I click on this one. I'll become ten, but now we're going to drag it back to 3.6. There you go. And now we'll pick this clip, and we're just going to make it boom full screen. First one. Let's watch it from the beginning. These are my three favorite spots in London. First one, Big Band. You've got to take a photo from West. Nice. And then I'm going to just show time. There you go, and I'm going to have it just half of it. And then I want to find a different video because I'm talking about the Westminster Bridge. So probably this one looks good. Yes, I like this. Then I just need to make sure to show time again and then make it shorter. Okay. There you go. From here, and then we just need to drag this one as 3.6, and that's it. Now we just need to make it as big as the screen. Boom. Here, there you go. Let's watch it back. These are the favorite spots in London. First one, big band. You've got to take a photo from. Now, I saw that there is my face there. So we just need to make this one a little bit longer. Boom. Okay. Now, should be fine. You've got to take a photo from Westminster Bridge, set. Nice. Okay. Now, what I can do is maybe I can add an animation with text coming as like a second one, right? So let's add it. We're going to add some text here. Then we pick the same font as before, Lk Parton and then we write two. Then we can make it bigger one 50. Then we add a background, and then we make the background yellow, and the text we make it black. Okay. Then we can go here. And add an animation. So we can have maybe Okay. Yeah, we can have maybe a pop, and then we're going to have it in and out. But this one is just going to stay literally 1 second. Whenever I say second and then it's going to go away and then we're going to start showcasing some bureau of London night. So we're going to go show timing and then decrease this for probably 1.3 seconds. Let's see. Second one, London. There you go. That's perfect. We make it 1.5 seconds. And then from here, we'll be able to start adding some London y footage. So we're going to go into elements, and then we write London. Okay. Boom. This one is amazing. Then we have it as big as the screen. Just like so. Boom. And then we make it start, so we just trim in the beginning until the two goes away and then we're going to trim the whole thing here. Okay. Okay. Until I stop talking about the London. I have to do a ride there. Okay. Just like here. Let's watch it back. Second one. Long. You have to do a ride there. Third one. Nice. Okay. Now, we move into the third bit. Once again, we have SP. I can add the number again with a number three. I cannot add it. Maybe I don't want to add it totally up to you. Let's start by having me right here. There you go. And then when I start mentioning SP, then we're going to grab B roll. Boom. Yeah, light vest make it feel screen as always. C. Let's put it in the center, and then we just need to modify this one up to 3.6 seconds as it used to be. Then we go in show timing, and then we trim a little bit the beginning so that we see my face. Third one sample, probably my favorite. Okay. Then we can add another Bal you can just keep one that's totally up to you. Landmark. Oh, by the way, my guide is on sale. So check it out. Now we just need to finish with the last part where I talk about my London guide. And maybe what we could do here, we can try to remove the background and add something behind myself. So the first thing that I can do is maybe look for a text that I want to use. And yeah, let's take this one, sale. Then we're going to bring it right at the top. We're going to select this footage. We're going to go into edit video, and we're going to click on background remover. Cool. Now the bagron is removed. I can move myself. Maybe we move it a little bit downward. We make my face a little bit bigger. And then we just need to change the position of the sale video. So we're going to click on it, and then we're going to go into position and send to the back. There you go. Now, it's behind my face. How cool is this? Potentially, I can change the background color. So I'm going to pick this one and then click on black. That's really good. And if I want to, I can also add maybe a gift. So let's see here let's see if we can find something interesting. Let's go in graphic. Okay Let's write lighting. Okay. Okay. Okay, yeah, I like this one. So let's have it right here. There you go. And then we can position it to the back. Boom. Now it's behind the text and behind also my image. Do you want to add another one? Well, we can add another one. Let's have it maybe This one, I like it a lot. Let's have it here as well on the corner, and then we position it sent to the back. There you go. And now, it's behind myself, it's behind the is behind the text. And I think this looks super cool. One last touch, we can add maybe some music. So we can go into uploads, going audio, and then you can choose the music that you aploaded or you can upload one, or we can just pick one from Camas. So we're going to go into elements, and we're going to write music, house music. I don't know, whatever you want. And then you go into audio. Let's hear some of these. Deep house music. Okay. Let's pick this one, whatever. And then we're just going to move it towards the beginning, and then we're going to change the volume into 20%, just like that. And then let's have a look at the overall D together. These are my three fabric spots in London. First one. Okay That's two high, so we're just going to write two. These are my three fabric spots in London. First one, big an. Spot in London. First one, Big Band. You've got to take a photo from Westminster Bridge. Second one, London. Oh, yes, you have to do a right there. Third one sample probably my favorite landmark. Oh, by the way, my London guide is on sale, so check it out. There you go. Now, again, if you have something that you want to chin maybe it's too long, G N, then you can always do so. And if you want to zoom in in the timeline, just use this button here to switch to T and then you're going to boom. You're going to be able to zoom in. All right. I'm super happy with the reel that we created, and I hope you enjoy it too. I'll see you in the next video. 11. Magic Video: In this video, I want to show you how we can use AI built within amba to edit our videos within one click. And it's going to be incredible. To access these feature, you have two options. Either either you look for Magic Design for video here in the new features within amba or you go to Magic Studio, and then you can click on Magic Design for Video. Then let's click on Tri Magic Design. And from here, amba is going to ask you to select the files that you want to use to edit this video. And I'm just going to select some random videos that I uploaded recently. There you go. When I was at the beach, I can select up to ten. And then I just need to basically describe what's happening in these videos. And what is the final result that I want to achieve? So, in this case, I'm just going to write a day at the beach. And then we're going to click on generate. Okay. And after a few seconds, va generated a full video for us, including text, including music, including cuts and everything that we need to basically post a real. So let's have a look at it together. Okay. This is absolutely incredible. Canva recognized what was in the clips, because, for example, in this one, he mentioned nothing like a beach day and he saw that there was a beach in the clip. This one, there are friends because I'm cheering with a couple of friends, and this one said, this is my happy place because it looks like a piece of paradise. This one says a p because it recognized that there was a poll in the clip. Added text, music, transition, literally, everything. And this is incredible. Because to make something like this manually, it would have probably taken, I don't know, 20, 30, 45 minutes depending on your speed, and here it took literally probably 20 seconds. And this is crazy because you can now also go and modify whatever you don't like, for example, transitions, text, images, whatever you want, everything that we've learned in the class, you'll be able to do it here as well. So, for example, I don't like these texts. I'm just going to write. I love swim pols. There you go. And now I change it. Do I want to change the position, the effect. Maybe I don't like this one. I'm just going to change into a on one. That's it. I just changed it very quickly. So you can scroll to the overall video and change whatever you want. How powerful is this? Now, in case you enjoy all the AI features, I made an entire class about amba Magic Studio, which are all the AI features built within amba. So, in case you want to check it out, feel free to do so.
