How To Make A Good First Impression: Hello and welcome to the first lesson in this class. In the first few lessons of this class, I wanted to go over what makes a really good profile and a really good bio. Because when I teach you how to send proposals on Upwork, you're going to be redirecting them back to your profile. And so it's important that you have a good profile so that they will, that they will engage with you. They will start to message you and they will ultimately end up hiring you. One of the ways that you can have a really good profile or good bio is by having a good first impression. And the best way to have a good first impression is by having a really nice profile pic. So in this first lesson, I'm just gonna go over what makes it really good profile, pick how you want your profile pic to look like, what you don't want your profile pic to look like, and a couple of resources to get a good-looking profile pic. So first, let's just go over what makes a good profile pic. So mainly you just want your profile pic to be a nice head shot where we can see your whole face. A photo with good lighting, if you can, you want to have a white background. It's also recommended to dress up. And probably the most important thing is that you want to have a really big smile. You want to look friendly, happy, inviting, trustworthy, and professional. So let's just take a look at my profile pic right here. So this is my profile pic right here. Just click on it. So here you're going to see it's a nice head shot. We can see my whole face. It's a photo with good lighting. I have a white background. I could have dressed up and look a little more formal or more professional, like maybe War in color, maybe put my glasses on. But I also have a big smile, so that's good as well. For the most part, this is pretty good profile pic. But I want to show you some ones that are actually even better than this. Like e.g. when we go to this one right here, this is pretty much exactly how you want your profile pic to look. Look like. You see it's a nice head shot. You can see his whole face full, has good lighting. Looks like he's dressed up as a collar on here, but most importantly, has a really nice smile. The only thing that can make this a little better would be to have a white background. But for the most part, it's pretty much exactly how you want your profile to look like. This one is good, but it's kinda weird with the little green ring around it. This one is also good. Good, nice smile. This guy looks very friendly. This one's good. She has really nice smile, but I would try to avoid showing parts of your body. You want your face or your head to take up as much of the real estate as possible for the profile area or space. Could feel pretty good. But when we look at this one right here, we're going to see She's not smiling. And again, like you're saying, you want to look happy, friendly, inviting. And so those are some good examples of a good profile pic. This one is also good as well. Now let me show you what you don't want to do. Like e.g. when we go to this page or this upward page right here, we're going to see that this one right here, you can see who he is because he's not using a head shot. He's using looks like a photo from a vacation or something and he's showing a lot of his body. So what makes this not so good as that's going to be hard for him to stand out because if I'm a potential client looking to hire someone, you know, this guy stands out a lot more because it's easy for me to see him. And if I were to scroll through and this guy, I'm just gonna probably scroll around bikes. I can't even see who he is. Here's a good one as well. So remember, you just want to think that nice headshot where we can see your whole face. Avoid using parts of your body. And you want to have a really big smile is probably the most important thing. Then here just a couple of resources that can help you get an good-looking profile. So the way you can get rid of the background is if you just go to Google, you type in Remove Background, click on this first link right here. It will take you to this website. And basically all you have to do is just upload your photo. It will get rid of your background. And then if you have photo editing skills, icon Photoshop, e.g. then you can just basically create a new image, drag and drop the image onto a white background and you get a nice-looking profile pic, kinda like mine right here. And then sometimes on Upwork. Upwork will not allow you to upload your profile pic because the image is too large. And so what you have to do is you have to compress the image. And so one of the ways that you can do that is you just go to Google, type in compressed JPEG. You click on this first link right here, will take you to this website. And all you have to do just upload your file and it will compress it for you and that will make it easier or that will make it able for you to upload your file because the file will be compressed. Alright, so that's going to be it for this first lesson. Remember you just want a nice head shot where you can see your whole face father with good lighting, white background, dress up if you can. The most important thing, you want to have a really big smile. 3. How To Optimize Your Title: Hello and welcome to the next lesson in this class. In this lesson I want to go over how you should have your title sit up in your profile. And what I would recommend that you do is basically just load up your title or your character space with as many auto suggests the keywords that are relevant to the type of freelancer that you are. So for me, the type of freelancer that I am on Upwork is I do Etsy, etsy SEO. So you've probably heard of before it's a big online marketplace similar to Amazon. And basically I write people's listings or titles or tags for them. And what you want to do is you want to go into, onto Upwork and go into the search bar and just basically type in the type of freelancer that you are. So for me, I would type in ETC. And we're going to see that Upwork is actually auto suggesting a bunch of keywords for us. And so what I've done is I've just taken these keywords and basically just added them into my title. Here. The first one is etsy SEO. And then I have Etsy listing at sea marketing consultant. And if you can't find or if you're looking for more suggestions, you can just hit space and then you can just kinda go through the alphabet. And if it applies to actually suggest other ones that you might not have thought of here, like Etsy shop that wasn't there originally. So that's the second one that I put it in. So that's how you find auto suggested keywords you just put in the type of freelancer that you aren't. So maybe you are a writer, e.g. so you would type in Writer, you can hit space and it's going to give us some auto CSE keywords. So maybe your content writer, you can use that or a blog writer or resume writer. And you just want to have it set up in this format. Another example would be like graphic designer. Graphic designer. We're going to see that it's given us auto suggested keywords. And this is the format that I like to use. I like to use these little vertical bars. I'm not too sure what they're called, but I think it just makes it look nice, clean, and professional, better than using commas. And the reason why you want to have your title set up like this. So that when potential clients go on to Upwork and they're searching for people. If I go here to the search bar and I type in Etsy SEO and I hit Enter. We're going to see that I pop up right here on the first page. And the reason why is because it had this keyword in my titles, the first one, so it matches. Alright, so this is important to have your, your title, your profile set-up like this so that one, so that people can find you. You don't just want to write some type of vague title. You want to use keywords that are being auto suggested by Upwork. And that's going to help a lot and potential customers finding you. 4. How To Create The Perfect Profile: Hello and welcome to the next lesson in this class. In this lesson, I want to talk to you about how you should have your bios setup in your profile. When I'm talking about, I'm talking about all this text right here underneath my title. What I would recommend for your bio is to start it off with a really good hook. And the way you can start it off with a good hook is by using the words like you and you're basically talking about what you can do for the client and not so much talking about how great you are and all the things that you have achieved in your profession. Because if we go to a new Upwork page right here, and we just type in Writer and we look at what everybody else is doing. Basically everybody starts off their profile or their bio talking about how great they are. I'm an expert writer. This person says, I've started a freelance writing business to help. No one's really talking about what they can do for the customer right here. This is actually the only going right here because actually start off with you, so that's good. But this one right here, I have 15 plus years experience. I'm a top rated food among the financial writer. So you're gonna see everybody starts off by talking about themselves, not talking about what they can do for the customer. So you don't wanna do that. I recommend that you do the opposite. And let me show you what I'm talking about. So if we go back to my profile or my bio, we're going to see my first two sentences. What I say is, are you looking for an SE consultants? Take your Etsy shop to the next level. Question mark. And I say, since you are reading this, it probably means you need help with your Etsy shop from an expert. This is, in my opinion, a lot better way to hook the customer or the potential client because you're not doing what everybody else is doing. You're talking more about what you can do for them. And that's going to hook them a lot better than if you just start talking about how great you are and what you have achieved, then once you've hooked them and talk about what you can do for the client, then you can talk about like what you have achieved. So right here, first two sentences, I'm talking about the customer. Then I go on to say, well, I have been on Etsy for over five years. I have three successful as he shops, I made over 4,500 sales, more than $125,000 in sales revenue. So in my opinion, this is a lot better way to start off your profile than what doing, what everybody else is doing. And then what I would also recommend is that you go to Upwork and you just type in the type of freelancer that you are. So rich can use writer for this. For this example. Basically what you want to do is you want to find the best freelancers in your niche on Upwork. So you type in the type of freelancer that you are. I would recommend you go USO, USA only. What you wanna do is you want to go into these filters right here, and you want to avoid agencies, just want to go with freelancers. Then you want to make sure that the job success is 90 and up. And for the earned amount you want it to be ten K plus earned. And what that's gonna do, it's gonna show us the best freelancers in that nice. And then you want to go through these profiles. I would recommend you go through a minimum, at least three. But the more the better you want to study them and you want to see what you can learn from them. And basically you're looking for similarities and some of these profiles. So if you see like several profiles doing the same type of things in their bio and their profile. You want to take those similarities and implement them into your shop or online to your shop, it into your profile mean. So if we go back to my insight into my Upwork profile, you're going to see that the way that I have mine set up is after I talked about, you know, what I can do for them and what I have achieved. I have basically these three sections and I got these sections because I was studying other profiles on Upwork. So right here I have McKinsey and this is a review that I got on my shop. I saw other profiles were doing this and I basically just did the same thing. I just took my own reviews, copied and pasted them in. Mckinsey, meet Frank, me, Julie. Then I saw that people had these bullet points talking about this is for you if I just put in my bullet points from my own profile. And then I also saw that people were doing FAQs as well. Why should I hire you? Can I can consult someone in any niche. Can I see your Etsy shop when you have your profile set-up like this, it's gonna look a lot more professional and more credible is going to give the client a lot more confidence to want to hire you because it just looks really good now this isn't the best profile On Upwork, but it's definitely above average. So this is how I would recommend that you do it. You start off with a nice hook. Then you talk about how great you are and what you have accomplished. And then basically you can do kind of like what I'm doing if you want. But probably better would be to just study other freelancers in your nice, Let us look for similarities and when you find those similarities, then implement them into your profile. And when you do it that way, you're going to get a really nice professional-looking profiles can definitely increase your chances of being hired because people do read this stuff. 5. How To Optimize Your Profile: Hello and welcome to the next lesson in this class. In this lesson, I wanted to talk to you about how you can strengthen your bio and your profile by using really good SCO. And what I would recommend that you do is you take those keywords that we found in search that are being auto suggested by and see the ones that I recommend that you use in your title, that you also basically just sprinkle them throughout your bio right here. And let me show you what I'm talking about. So if we look at the very beginning of my buyer, you're going to see, are you looking for an SEO consultant? So there's one auto suggests a keyword that I found up here and search, and I'm using my title. And it goes on to say to take your Etsy shop to the nice level. Etsy shop is another auto suggests a keyword found in search, and I'm also using my title here. And then it goes on to say, since you are reading this, it probably means you need help with your Etsy shop. So I use Etsy shop again from an Etsy expert, which is another ADL suggested keyword, Etsy shop again. And then right here I say Etsy SEO, which is my main keyword. That's what I'm using at the beginning. At C administration. Well, you can see here, I'm just basically taking those auto suggested keywords I found inserts I'm using in my, in my title. I'm just sprinkling them throughout my bio and you just want to make sure that you use them in a cohesive, coherent way that makes sense when you read it. And if you just go throughout my whole body, you're going to see that I have a bunch of those keywords all throughout it, and that's really going to help with SEO. The reason why this is important is that when people search for these keywords on Upwork, your profile is going to pop up at the top of the page because your profile has been optimized with good SEO for these keywords. So it's pretty simple. You have to do again is just go up to the search. Look for those auto suggested keywords. You use them in your title and then you also use them throughout your bio. And like I said, this can help with SEL is going to help you get found. That's one of the main parts about getting hired people have to find u first and let's say, fine, then they can start to message you, etc. etc. So get those auto suggested keywords and then just sprinkle them throughout your bio. It's really going to help. 6. More SEO And Optimization Tips: Hello and welcome to the next lesson in this class. In this lesson, I want to talk to you about another way on how you can optimize your profile by using good SCO. And the way that you can do that is with the projects. So if you scroll down here at the bottom, you're going to see there's a section where you can add in projects for your portfolio. And what you wanna do is you want to optimize these projects are each project that you put in your portfolio. Those auto suggested keywords that I keep talking about that you find in surge that we're gonna use in our title that we're going to sprinkle throughout our bio. And you want to use those auto suggested keywords in these projects as well. So let me show you what I'm talking about. So if you go to your projects, you can click onto, you can click this pencil right here to edit it. And once you're in here, this is where you want to add in those auto she Jesse keywords. Once it loads, you're going to see the project title I'm using an auto suggests a keyword which is Etsy shop. And a couple of the other projects that I have my portfolio. I'm using Etsy SEO as the title, which is also another AutoCAD I see keyword that is found in search sprinkled throughout my bio and then have another project where I use the auto suggests the keyword Etsy logo that I'm using as my project title. So the tip here is that you want to use those audits suggested keywords that we find in search that we're using throughout our title and our whole bio, or sprinkled throughout our bile and we're using them as our project titles. That's just another way to strengthen SCO of your profile to help you get found. And have you get found, are ranked even higher in the search when people search for that type of keyword. Alright, so just make sure that every project that you add you're using an auto suggests a keyword as the project title. 7. How To Start Your Proposal: Hello and welcome to the next lesson in this class. Now that we have our profile setup and our bio looking nice and very well optimized. We want to start sending out proposals to start getting hired on Upwork. Next few lessons, I'm just going to be going over exactly what you want to write in your job proposals. And in this specific lesson, I'm going to be going over what you want to say at the very beginning, the very first sentence of your job proposal. So the first thing that you want to do is obviously you just want to read what the job description or the job details are just to make just so that you know, if you're a good fit for that job or not. But the second reason is that a lot of times potential clients will try to test you on Oprah to see if you've read the whole job description. So they'll put like a, like a random word, Upwork, Freelancer, cake, unicorn, whatever it might be. They're just going to ask you to start your proposal off by saying that word. That's the second reason why you want to make sure to read the whole job description. But then once you've done that, you just want to obviously start off your job proposal by saying hello. Now if they have included their name in the job details, then you can use that. A lot of times they don't, but in case they do, you just you just want to say hello, John, hello Mary. And then the first sentence that you want to say is you just basically want to repeat back what they are looking for. So let me show you what I'm talking about. So I'm just going to go to a few of my recent job proposals right here. This one, e.g. the job details, this person says, I'm looking for someone who will increase traffic and sales to my new Etsy shop. So what I did if we go to my job proposal, we're going to see that I say hello, I just repeat back what they're looking for. I say, you are looking for an IT specialist that will increase traffic and sales for your new Etsy shop. Very simple, but very effective. If we go to another example right here, this person says, we're looking for an expert who can increase sales of five listening, so $600 per day. And then right here I repeat back what they're looking for. You're looking for an Etsy expert, help increase your sales. When you start your job proposal off like this, it shows that you actually have read the job description and that you actually understand what the client is looking for. And also shows that you're not just like one of these copy and paste freelancers because a lot of times people do that, they just have like a copy and paste texts that they use and they just apply it to hundreds of jobs. And you're also going to be standing out from the crowd because like a lot of times people will just say hello, I'm a great fit for this because I'm an expert at baba, baba, baba. Again, they talk about how great they are. They're not talking about the client and not using the word to you. So this is a really good way to start your proposal off here, just a couple of other examples as well. So if we go to this one right here, this person says, need someone skilled in SEL to help optimize my Etsy store and drive more traffic and sales. And if we go to the job proposal, you're going to see I start off by saying hello, you are looking for someone to help you with your Etsy shop. So again, very simple, very effective. If you are not like an Etsy freelancers. So maybe you're a writer. What you wanna do is you just go into that upward page right here, you type in the type of freelancer that you aren't. And if we look at some of these other type of jobs, just to show you a different example, you're going to see this person right here says, Hey everyone, I'm looking for a rockstar script writer who can research and write 2,500 words on a topic that will be supplied. So again, you would just copy or you would just repeat back what they're looking for. So you would say Hello, I'm looking for a rockstar, or you are looking for a rockstar script writer who can research and write 2,500 words on a topic that will be supplied. Here's another example right here where this person says I'm seeking a content writer to write English articles for my dogs and each blog, we need ten to 15 articles per month. You should have experience as a writer and a CL writer. The content is written in English, therefore, your English should be perfect. So you would just repeat back by saying, you are seeking a content writer to write English articles for your dog's nice website. You just basically going to change out the eye and the mind for you and yours. This was a good example as well because at the bottom here it says, if you read this full description with the tension right back the exact sentence, I can be a good match as a content writer. So this is what I'm talking about, where people would try and test you. So for this specific example, you would start off the proposal by saying, I can be a good match as a content writer. And you would say hello. Then the first sentence you would just repeat back exactly what they're looking for. Alright, so that's how I'd recommend that you start off your proposals. You just start off by saying hello and then you just repeat back what they're looking for. In the next lessons I'm going to go over like the next thing that you want to say in the second and third paragraph. 8. What To Write In Your Proposal: Hello and welcome to the next lesson in this class. In this lesson, I want to talk to you about what you want to write in the second paragraph. The second paragraph, we basically just want to build our credibility, build our value. And this is where we do want to talk about ourselves, talking about how great we are, talking about our accomplishments. And basically let the customer or the client know the potential client that were really good fit for the type of work that they're looking for. So let me just show you what I do for my cover letters are in my job proposals. So after I've said the first sentence, repeating back to the client what they're looking for again to my second paragraph and I say, Great, My name is Mike, I'm an expert. I believe it's important to brand yourself as an expert is really going to build your credibility and your value. And I go on to say, I've been on SEO for over five years. I have three Etsy shops and I've sold over $250,000 in sales revenue. So this right here when I talked about how long I've been on LC4 that shows that I'm experienced. And then when I say I have three Etsy shops and I've sold over 250,000 in sales revenue that shows that I'm successful. So this is going to let the potential client know that I'm a good fit for the job. And so what you wanna do is whatever type of Freelancer you or you just want to think to yourself, okay, So what are, you know, what's my experience? What are my achievements? How can I build my credibility and my value to the potential customer to hopefully get hired on Upwork. Now this might come very easy to just might know right away. Like maybe you're a graphic designer and you've been graphic designer for over five years. You've made X amount of projects, et cetera, et cetera. Or maybe you're a writer and you've written over 50 fiction books, e.g. or something like that, might come to you very easily, but in case it doesn't and you're struggling to figure out how to build your credibility. For the second paragraph, which you can do is you can just go to Upwork. You just type in the type of freelancer that you are. You can go through the filters like I showed you earlier and just do like freelancers. Try and find the best freelancers in your niche. And basically you can just see what other people are doing to kinda get some ideas. So this right here is the top rated freelancer and 92% job success. So this might be a pretty good person to learn from. You can see what this person says. But I'm goal-oriented person. So maybe you might be able to get some ideas from this one. You can just go through these if you get stuck and you don't want to copy, obviously, but we just want to get some ideas. You want to look for those similarities. And when you find similarities, like I said in the earlier lessons, you want to take those similarities and implement them into your job proposals. But I think for the most part you should be able to kinda know what you are really good at, your experience and your achievements, et cetera. So that's what you want to do for the second paragraph. This is where we do talk about ourselves, is where we do talk about how great we are and we're just going to build our credibility or a value. Let them know our experience and why we are good fit for them, and why they should hire us. 9. Three Questions To Ask In Your Proposal: Hello and welcome to the next lesson in this class. In this lesson I want to go over what we want to say in our job proposals after we have built our credibility and let the customer know why we are good fit for the job. And also three questions that I like to say in every job proposal as well. So after we've said the second paragraph right here, building our credibility, building our value, letting the customer know why we are good fit for this job. I like to get into this first sentence right here where it says, Here are a few questions to see if we're good match. And I really like saying the sentence because now we're the ones taking control and we're the ones doing the hiring, we're the ones doing the vetting and we're laying the customer know that if you answer correctly to these questions, then I will work with you. So this is a good question, asks us to kind of take control of the job proposal. And then the three questions that I asked, the first two are basically about the type of freelancer that I am and the type of job that I'm applying for me. I'm an Etsy consultant. Basically, I do Etsy consulting and Etsy SEO. So I asked two questions that are revolved around or related about Etsy. So I say what is the link to your Etsy shop? How many listings do need to be optimized? If you are a writer, you might want to say, you know what, you need the blog post or the blog article to be about, how many words do you need the blog article to be? So that's two examples. That's an example of the two questions you can use. If you're a writer, if you're a T-shirt designer, you can say something like, you know, what type of t-shirts do you need to be designed? How many t-shirts designs do need? Then the third question, which I also really like is you want to say, how can I make this a great experience for you? This shows that you actually care about the customer and you're not just one of these freelancers is just trying to get hired and make a quick buck and then never talked to him again. It shows that you have your best interests, that you have their best interests at heart. When you have your, when you set up your when you ask these questions here, it's really going to make the client wanted to hire you because it shows you're showing interests in the type of job and also shows that you have their best interests at heart. And it's actually pretty cool because when they respond to these are basically going to tell you what they're looking for and it's gonna make it a lot easier for you to work with the customer or the potential client. This is what I like to do. After I've talked about my credibility and building my value, I basically just say here are a few questions to see if we're good match. And I ask these three questions too about the actual job. And then one where I say, How can I make this a great experience for you? 10. How To End Your Proposal: Hello and welcome to the next lesson in this class. In this lesson I want to talk about how you should end or how you should close your job proposal. And what I would recommend that you do is that you use a call to action. So let me show you what I do on my job proposals. Let me just make a little bigger here. So what I like to say is take a look at my profile. If you think we are good, match, send me a message. This is why stress at the beginning of the class to have a really good-looking profile so that when we redirect them back to your profile, they're gonna be impressed, are going to see, okay, it's, they have a professional profile pic, they look good, have a good title. And when they read your bio, they're also going to be impressed because it's just gonna be loaded with good information that is going to make them want to hire you. So I like to use this call to action. And then after the call to action, I just like to use my name and then I also like to brand myself as an expert. Like I said earlier in one of the other lessons, it's important to brand yourself as an expert. For me since I'm an Etsy consultant, I say it's the expert. Now for you, if you're a writer, maybe you could say something like professional writer or certified writer. If you are a graphic designer, you can write something like graphic design expert. But when you have, when you brand yourself like this as an expert, just going to build your value, build your credibility is going to increase your chances of getting hired because it's going to make you look more valuable. So basically, that's how I like to end my job proposals and that's why I'd recommend you do the same as well. You're basically just going to write a call to action, something along the lines of take a look at my profile. If you think we are good, match, send me a message and let's chat. Then you just write your name and then brand yourself as an expert. 11. How To Close The Client: Hello and welcome to the next lesson in this class. In this lesson, I want to go over or teach you how to actually close the client once they start responding to your job or puzzle. Because for the most part, once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy to send the job proposals once they start responding and sending you messages and asking you questions, you need to know how to close the client and basically get them to hire you or send you a job offer. So what I'm going to do is I'm just going to go through basically a message thread of where I send the client my job proposal. She responds and I'm going to show you what I say to actually close the client to get them to hire me. So right here you're going to see that I sent my job proposal and I do it exactly the way I've been teaching you through this class. I say hello, I repeat back to the client what they're looking for. Then I build my credibility. Then I ask the three questions. I write the call to action. I burned myself as an expert. And then she responds by saying thank you for answering. And she sends me the link to her Etsy shop. And then basically I respond by saying, Thank you for sending me the link to your shop. I talked a little bit about my work and what type of SEO consulting that I do. And then this is basically the money line right here. This is what you want to say to your potential clients, to close them, to get them to send you the offer. So right here I say if both are one of these options, sounds good. Kindly send me an offer and I will gladly accept a lot of the times clients need to be guided and this is a great way to respond, to get them to send you an offer. You basically holding him by the hand and you're telling them what to do. Alright? And basically what you want to say is this main part right here where it says, kindly send me an offer and I will gladly setup so you can phrase it however you like, but you just want to make sure that you say that you're telling them to send you an offer, that you lead this up. And I say thank you again, branded myself as an expert. And then she says, Great Thanks for this. Yes, one more. She asked a question right here, and then here you can see she sends me the offer, so bam, we're in the door. I got the deal. I've been hired. Now I can start working on her on her job. And then once she sent you the offer, you obviously you just want to say thank you for the offer. If there's any other information that you need to talk about are gathered, you can say that here and you just say thanks again, Mike. And when you do it this way, when you respond to people by saying, kindly send me off and I will gladly accept, it's going to help you get hired a lot. I know it's helped me get hired a ton of times and this is the way that I'd recommend that you do it. And it's going to get you a lot of job offers sent your way. 12. How To Get Reviews: Hello and welcome to the next lesson in this class. In this lesson, I want to go over how to get really good five-star reviews on your profile. Because you might send the best job proposals. You might, you might have the best profile, but if your profile doesn't have really good five-star reviews, it's gonna make it harder for you to get hired. So in this class, I just want to show you some tips and tricks on how I get really good five-star reviews. First, let me just show you my profile and show you some of my reviews. So you're going to see that when we look at my profile, you're going to see that I have a lot of good five-star reviews, long paragraph reviews, where people say Michael did a fantastic job, Excellent job, and was done on time. Michael has done the work on time and did a fabulous job. It was a pleasure to work with Mike. Mike was super great to work with. Mike was very professional. And then this one right here, Michael is an amazing freelancer work with very responsive to any questions. You can see here, I get a lot of a lot of five-star reviews. And the easiest way to get reviews is just basically to ask them. So let me just show you a message on what I say to get reviews. So right here you're going to see after they've sent after you have sent them the work and they have approved your work, you basically want to send with the message, something along the lines like this. You want to start out obviously by saying their name and then you want to say something like Thank you so much for approving my work. I like to say if you could be so kind, I would really appreciate if you would consider leaving me an honest review. I like to phrase it this way because I'm not being demanding or pushing on him saying, Hey, leave me a five-star review. I'm saying if you could be so kind, I would really appreciate it if you would consider not being bossy, I like to use the word consider leaving me an honest review. I like to use the word honest as well because it shows I'm not looking for a five-star review just to give an honest review about my service and the work. I also like to always start off with their name. You want to be friends with them. He wanted to be on that first-name basis. And then I always like to start off the message by saying something like, you know, thank you for approving my work or like, hope you had a nice start to the week. I'll be at a nice weekend. I don't want to just jump right into the message. I want to say hello first, break the ice and then get into what I'm looking for. When I phrase my message like this, I've got a really good response. Now there's a couple of other things you can do to get really good reviews as well. And those are by over-delivering. And there's two ways that you can over-deliver. One is by somebody in the work earlier than they expected. So if you can get the work done in 33 days, you want to tell them that you can get it done in five. And then when you submit in three days, you're gonna be somebody that earlier and the client is going to like that. Another really good way to go above and beyond or to over-deliver is to give them more for what they pay for. So I'm in Etsy SEO freelancer. I revise people's listings. So people will hire me for like five listings, ten listings. And what I will do sometimes that will overdeliver the hiring me for five, I'll give them six or seven. They hired me for ten. I'll give them 11th or 12th. When you're giving like that, the client is going to feel indebted to you and then they're going to want to get back to you in one of the ways that they can do that is they can give you bonus obviously. But another way is that thinking it'll leave you a really good five-star reviews. That's another tip or trick that I use to get really good reviews is by over-delivering so many of the work on time and by giving them more for what they pay for. And then a couple of other tips or tricks that you want to be very responsive with your communication and your messaging. So when they message you, you want to respond as quickly as possible. You don't want to wait longer than 24 h. I like to respond within five-minutes if possible. You want to have the Upwork app on your phone. But usually 5 min to an hour is the best. Don't wait longer than 24 h. I'll work is not going to enter the client is not going to like that. They want answers quick and when you're responsive, you're going to see it in the messages like right here. We go back here, this one right here, it says My very responsive to any questions that we had. So that's definitely can help you to be very quick with your responses on the Upwork app. And then nothing is. You also just want to be very kind with your messaging. You want to be kinda like what I said. You want to make friends with your clients. You want to be on that first name basis. You want them to like you because when they like you kinda do nice things for you, like leave you nice. Five-star review. One of the ways that she knew that kind of mentioned it. So you always username, then you'll always kinda break the ice. Alright? Don't just want to jump to the message. Talking about life. Say that they had a nice weekend, good start to the week, something like that. But then what I really like to do is end it this way by saying if there's anything else I can do for you, kindly let me know. This just shows like that. I really care about the client. I want to be of service. I'm gonna be friendly, kind. I want them to like me basically so that they would give me a nice five-star review. And I always end up by saying thanks and Mike. And when you do your message like this, it's really going to help to get you those five-star reviews, especially if you're brand new, if you're brand new on at work and you might get fewer. Profile is like not like this. It doesn't have that many reviews. You're really going to need to go above and beyond at the beginning so that you can get those reviews. Now, highly recommend that you do it this way. You just want to ask them for reviews. You want to overdeliver, submit the work early, give them more what they paid for, being very quick with your communication. And then also you want to be very friendly and kind with your messaging. When you do that stuff, you're going to get a whole bunch of five-star reviews. Like you can see I've done here. 13. Class Conclusion: Hello and welcome to the next lesson in this class. In this lesson, I just want to do a quick recap of everything that we have learned. Because once you get the hang of this is going to come pretty easy. But the first thing is that you just want to have a really good looking profile. Remember, like we talked about, the way to have a really good profile is to have a good first impression. And you can start off by having a good first impression, by having a good profile, because that's the main thing. Then once we've done that, we basically just want to optimize our profile with good SEO. Which you want to do is you just want to find those Odyssey Jesse keywords and you want to sprinkle them throughout your title, throughout your bio. And then also down here in the projects, here are in your portfolio. Now once you have your profile looking good and ready to go, and that's where we want to start sending out the proposals because we're going to be sending them back to our profile and then proposals and the job proposals. Remember, we just want to start off if they use that test word, we want to start with the test word. If not, we just want to say hello, username if they supply it. And then we're just going to basically repeat back what the client is looking for. Then once we've done that, we just wanted to talk about ourselves, our achievements, how great we are, why we're good fit for this job. Then once we've done that, we want to ask those three questions. The first two questions should be about the type of work that we're doing. How many t-shirt designs do you need? How long do you need the blog post to be? A third question. You want to say, how can I make this a great experience for you? Once those, that, once you've asked those three questions and you want to type out that call to action. Take a look at my profile. If you think we are good, match, send me a message and let's chat. And then you just want to end with your name and brand yourself as an expert. Then once we've done that, you want to close the client. Remember, we just wanted to say, kindly send me an offer it and I will gladly step. Then you're going to do the work. You're going to deliver on time, you're going to overdeliver. You're going to respond quickly to all their messages. You're going to be very kind with your messages. You're going to make friends, good communication. Then you're going to ask for that review. And when you do all those things, you're going to get hired a lot more and your income is going to increase on Upwork. 14. Class Project: Hello and welcome to the next lesson in this class. In this lesson, I want to go over what the class project is going to be for this class. And basically what I want you to do is just to go ahead and send out a job proposal, but using your own info. So you're going to repeat back to the client what they are looking for. You're going to talk you about yourself and how great you are, build your credibility. Then you can ask those three questions pertaining to your job and what you can offer them, then you're going to do that call for action. And with your name and as yourself as an expert, brand yourself as an expert. And once you've done all that, I want you to take a screenshot and then upload it into the class project gallery.
